Offspring 1999 (foals)
Salamon showed a uniform collection of foals. They are well developed, of good rectangular model and are sufficiently of the riding type. The head is well formed. The poll has good length. The neck should be longer and is a little horizontal. It is carried well during movement. The long wither should be better developed. The shoulder has more than sufficient length and placement. The back is generally well formed. The loins are well muscled and connected. The croup is short and should slope more. The gaskin is poorly muscled and the hamstring should be longer. The foreleg is generally correct. The hindleg is generally long and sickle-hocked, and stands a bit behind the body. The base is developed more than sufficiently.
The walk has sufficient scope and suppleness. The trot has good scope and good use of the foreleg, but it lacks power. The foals canter big, easy and carry themselves adequately. They do transitions at the canter well. The foreleg looks nicely finished at the canter.
The quality of the mares varied.
