STALLION
◆SECRET x FOR ROMANCE
Performance report
Performance test report
Conformation:
Sarai L is a strongly built, long-legged stallion that fits very well into the
rectangular model. The neck is very well-proportioned, has an upward curve, and
is well-muscled. The head-neck connection is light. The shoulder is long and
well-sloped. The withers are of normal height and extend well into the back,
which is well-muscled. The loins are broad and well-muscled. The croup is of
good length, position, and musculature. The foreleg is correctly positioned
from the side but slightly toed-out from the front. The hind leg is slightly
curved. The pasterns are correctly positioned. The hooves and heels are
well-shaped, of good quality, and appropriately developed. The foundation is
well-developed and of hard quality.
Pedigree:
Sarai L is a son of Secret, who won the silver medal at the World Championships
for Young Dressage Horses as a five-year-old. The Sezuan son Secret is renowned
for producing successful young dressage horses. Sarai L’s dam, For Real L, is
by For Romance, a two-time Oldenburg champion stallion who also competed
successfully at international Grand Prix level. This Danish dam line continues
with granddam Beyoncé L, who is by the Grand Prix stallion Bellisimo M.
Performance
test report:
Sarai L is a stallion with great presence and charisma. He can be somewhat
impressionable in new surroundings and could be more consistently obedient in
such situations. Once he trusts his environment, he is alert and responsive to
aids. His walk is diligent but can start off slightly rushed, preventing full
stride development, particularly on the left rein where the right hind leg
could engage more. With work, he relaxes, and the walk quality improves in
rhythm and body use, showing good reach. His trot has an upward tendency with
good posture, shoulder freedom, and knee action. The hind leg flexes well,
creates push-off, and carries under the body. His canter has an uphill
silhouette, excellent ground cover, great shoulder freedom, and strong hind leg
engagement. Sarai L is relaxed and supple in trot and canter, but his
suppleness in walk is still inconsistent, depending on his relaxation. The
contact could be more consistent. Sarai L has positively developed during the
performance test.
Stable behavior:
An honest, reliable stallion, easy to handle, and calm in the stable.
Veterinary
report:
No abnormalities detected.
Semen examination:
Expected fertility classification: Good.
Breeding/pairing
advice:
Sarai L can improve conformation and enhance movement mechanics in trot and
canter in dressage horse breeding.
