Odin toonde een uniforme
collectie, goed ontwikkelde, hoogbenige en langgelijnde veulens die goed in het
Gelderse type staan. Ook uit rijpaardmerries staan de veulens ruim voldoende in
het Gelderse type. De hoofd-halsaanzet is meerdere malen wat zwaar. De halzen
zijn over het algemeen goed gevormd, met een zeer goede lengte en bespiering,
enkele keren is er sprake van een lichte onderhals. De schouder is goed van
lengte en ligging. De schoft is ruim voldoende van lengte en ontwikkeld. De rug
is goed van lengte en goed gevormd, met een opvallend goede bespiering. De
lendenen zijn goed aangesloten en goed bespierd. De croupe is doorgaans goed
van ligging en lengte. De broekspier is ruim voldoende van lengte, zou een
enkele keer meer lengte mogen hebben. Het voorbeen is van terzijde gezien
correct gesteld en van voren gezien enkele malen licht frans gesteld. Het
achterbeen is wat lang en doorgaans wat steil gesteld. De koten voor en achter
zijn doorgaans correct gesteld. Het fundament is hard en qua omvang passend. De
stap is zuiver, actief en voldoende van ruimte. De draf
beschikt over een goede beentechniek en souplesse en is ruim voldoende van ruimte,
met soms een wat duwend achterbeen. De meeste veulens beschikken
over veel voorbeentechniek. De galop beschikt over een goede kracht en afdruk,
enkele veulens zouden wat meer sprong kunnen tonen. De veulens presenteren zich
doorgaans met een aansprekend front en een goede manier van bewegen.

De veelzijdige Odin kan
maat, formaat, front en het Gelderse model toevoegen, en met name voorbeentechniek
en zelfhouding verbeteren binnen de Gelderse populatie. Binnen de fokrichting
kan Odin tevens de instelling verbeteren.

nakomelingen 2023: 11 merrieveulens en 7 hengstveulens.
De veulens werden aan huis
beoordeeld door inspecteurs Gelders paard Wim Versteeg en Luuk Smetsers, in het
kader van de nieuwe pilot.
Bij deze veulencollectie
waren 6 moeders geregistreerd als Gelders paard, 1 als tuigpaard, 1 als
dressuurpaard, 1 als springpaard en 1 als rijpaard.

Conformation:
Odin is a generously developed, long-lined stallion that stands well in the Gelders type with an appealing front. The head is expressive, slightly long. The neck is of good length with a correct poll-throat connection. The neck is well shaped and of good length, coming somewhat deep out of the chest. The shoulder is of sufficient length and slightly steep in placement. The withers are sufficiently developed and sufficiently long. The back is of good length and sufficiently muscled. The loins are well muscled and well connected. The croup is well positioned, sufficiently long and sufficiently muscled. The hindquarters are of good length. The foreleg is correctly aligned both from the side and from the front. The hindleg is slightly long and stands a bit behind the body mass. The pasterns in front and behind are of good length and correctly aligned. The foundation is well developed and of good quality. The feet are well developed, well shaped and of good quality. The heels are sufficiently developed.
Pedigree:
Odin is a son of the ZZ-Licht performing Edmundo. This palomino, also active in harness sport, is a son of the Cabochon-son Upperville. Both the dam, granddam, and great-granddam carry the sport (dr) predicate. The dam is Buonaternel, an elite, preferent, sport (dr), IBOP and PROK mare by Vitens. In combination with Sirius, she also produced the Z1 dressage horse Ginaternel. The granddam is Jeanieternel, a ster sport (dr) mare by the French grey stallion Troubadour. She produced two dressage horses: in combination with Gribaldi, the Z1 classified Gigolo, and with Habsburg, the M2 gelding Nimroth. Great-granddam Dieternel carries the keur, performance and sport (dr) predicates and is by the Amor-son Vindicator. She produced three sport horses by Elberton, Purioso and Contender. Further back, the damline is built on daughters of Growing Grey xx, Amor and Olaf van Wittenstein.
Performance test report:
Odin is an honest, reliable stallion with a very good character and great willingness to work. The stallion has a very strong work ethic and is easy to handle under saddle. The walk is pure, active, spacious, with good suppleness. The trot is active, with good impulsion and scope, the hindleg steps under sufficiently to well and shows carrying ability. The stallion has an attractive foreleg technique with light lift from the knee. The canter is active, powerful, uphill, balanced, and shows good scope. In movement, Odin shows much self-carriage and good balance.
Odin is honest in jumping, also showing a very good character, strong willingness to work, sufficient to good technique and appears careful. The stallion seems to have good potential as a jumper.
In cross-country work, Odin shows great energy, willingness to work, and remains very focused on the rider in unfamiliar situations.
Both in the arena and outdoors, Odin gives his rider a reliable and very good feeling.
Driving performance test report:
In harness, Odin shows great willingness to work. He has good energy and is agile. In the walk, he should show more scope and use of the body. The trot is spacious, very powerful with good suppleness and balance. The canter has very good scope, is powerful and well balanced. In harness work, Odin presents a pleasant picture with good to very good posture. The stallion proves reliable both in cross-country and on public roads. Overall, as a harness horse he presents a good image.
Stable behavior:
Honest, reliable stallion, easy to handle and calm in the stable.
Veterinary report:
No abnormalities found. Odin is a carrier of the WFFS gene.

The versatile Odin can add size, frame, and movement technique, and in particular improve character within the Gelders population.
