Performance test report

Exterior:
Newport is a well-developed, strongly built, and robust stallion with good rectangular frame proportions. His head is expressive. The neck is of good length with a correct head-neck connection. The neck has a good shape, length, and musculature but emerges slightly deep from the chest. The shoulder is well-positioned and of good length. The withers are well-developed and of excellent length. The back is well-proportioned and well-muscled. The loins are sufficiently muscled and well-connected. The croup is sloping, well-proportioned in length, and well-muscled. The thigh muscle has good length. The foreleg is correctly positioned from the side view but slightly toed-in from the front view. The hind leg is slightly sickle-hocked. The pasterns, both front and hind, are well-proportioned in length and correctly positioned. The foundation is well-developed and of sufficient quality. The hooves are well-developed, broad in shape, and of adequate quality. The heels are sufficiently developed but slightly uneven.
Pedigree:
Newport is a son of the successful Grand Prix stallion Glock’s Toto Jr. Besides his already remarkable sports career, GLOCK’s Toto Jr. is increasingly proving his value as a sire, with Newport becoming his fifth KWPN-approved son. Newport’s dam is the elite, IBOP-(dr), PROK mare Adaula, a descendant of the preferent dressage sire Jazz. Adaula competed at Z1-level in dressage and, as her name suggests, comes from the renowned Daula lineage. Newport’s granddam is the ster, preferent, and performance mare Hidaula, a daughter of Rossini. In combination with Jazz, Hidaula produced several successful dressage horses, including the international Grand Prix horse Sebastiaan, who competed under Aat van Essen, the ZZ-Licht classified Eswin, and Jazzman, who was approved by the Oldenburg studbook. Additionally, Hidaula is the dam and granddam of multiple Z-classified dressage horses. The dam line continues through the keur mare Esdaula, who descends from the Thoroughbred stallion Sovereign Bill. His dam, Ladaula, is known as the granddam of numerous sport horses, including the KWPN-approved stallion For Gribaldi.
Performance test report:
Newport is an honest and balanced stallion with a good work ethic. He is very willing to work and is easy to ride but could keep his mouth more closed. His walk has excellent rhythm, is powerful, and has very good ground coverage. His trot displays good leg technique, good reach, and good posture. The hind leg could naturally engage more actively, but he responds well to training. His canter is very powerful, uphill, and has good reach. Newport moves with good posture, excellent balance, and good suppleness. He has strong adjustability and occasionally demonstrates talent for collection. As a dressage horse, Newport shows significant to exceptional potential and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stable behavior:
An honest, reliable stallion, easy to handle, and calm in the stable.
Veterinary report:
No abnormalities detected.
Semen analysis:
Expected fertility classification: good.
Breeding/pairing advice:
Newport can contribute adjustability and work ethic to dressage horse breeding.
