Conformation:
Raffles is a stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. He has an attractive head with a lively eye. The head-neck connection should be more refined. The neck has sufficient length with good muscling and carriage. The wither is very well-developed and has good length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back and loins have good length and muscling. The croup is slightly sloped and has sufficient length. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is correct. The pastern angle is correct. The hooves are sufficiently wide with somewhat low heels. The legs are solid and tight.
Lineage:
The Hackney stallion Raffles – approved by the Dutch Hackney Studbook – competed successfully in the Limit class. Last year, Raffles earned 27 points and won almost every competition in which he was entered. He is by Shanie Strikeler, who won numerous times in the Honor class and captured the 2012 breeding stallions in harness championship at the central inspection in Lunteren. There are no other known notable offspring out of this dam-line.

He is very willing to work and more than sufficient to drive.
The walk is powerful and big.
Pulling the show carriage, the stallion demonstrates more than sufficient to good neck carriage and good body use. Raffles has abundant knee action and good reach in the front leg.
The hind leg shows good bend and steps under the body well. The trot has excellent suspension, and Raffles shows abundant willingness. He demonstrates abundant talent as a harness horse and gives his driver a more than sufficient feeling. The stallion's movement is characterized by excellent regularity and balance. Raffles performed very consistently in the performance test.
Stable Behavior:
Raffles is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.
