Dettori toonde een collectie ruim voldoende tot goed
ontwikkelde veulens die ruim voldoende in het type van het dressuurpaard staan
en over voldoende lichaamslengte beschikken. De veulens beschikken over
uitstraling, een enkele maal zijn ze wat neerwaarts in de
romprichting. Het front is aansprekend. De rug is een enkele maal wat
week. Het voorbeen is van terzijde gezien steil gekoot. Het achterbeen is
regelmatig sabelbenig. De stap is ruim voldoende tot goed van ruimte. De door
de eigenaar gepresenteerde veulens zouden in draf en galop meer kracht en
gedragenheid moeten tonen. De thuis gescoorde veulens toonden echter doorgaans
in draf een goede ruimte en souplesse met kracht en gedragenheid. De galop
kenmerkt zich eveneens door de goede ruimte en souplesse. In galop tonen de
veulens een goede afdruk en balans.

Conformation:
Dettori is a more than sufficiently developed stallion with more than
sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is attractive. The poll
has good length with a correct head-neck connection. The neck has good length,
shape and muscling. The wither is sufficiently developed and has good length.
The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has more than sufficient
length but is slightly dropped. The loins are more than sufficiently muscled
and connected. The croup has more than sufficient placement, length and muscling.
There is good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The
front leg is correct when viewed from the side; viewed from the front, the left
front leg is slightly toed-out, and the right front leg is slightly toed-in.
The hind leg is correct but a fraction long. The pasterns have good length and
are correct. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves are
slightly narrow but well developed and of good quality. The heels are well
developed.
Lineage:
The Vivaldi son Desperado, who won the Stallion Competition three years in a
row, is living up to expectations: recently, he made a successful debut in the
Small Tour under Emmelie Scholtens. To date, the keur stallion Vivaldi boasts
six KWPN-approved sons.
Dettori is out of the De Niro daughter Diamond Eye. De Niro, who is Grand
Prix-classified, has ranked among the world's best dressage horse sires for
years. He was declared Stallion of the Year in Hanover, and his notable
offspring include Desperados, ridden by Kristina Sprehe; Delgado, ridden by
Beatriz Ferrer-Salat; and the KWPN stallion Glock’s Voice, who is competing
successfully under Edward Gal. Dettori’s granddam World of Magic is by Warkant,
who also earned the Stallion of the Year title in Hanover. World of Magic
produced dressage horses by De Niro and Rousseau which competed at the Z-level
in Germany. The line has also produced the two-star eventer Newell
(s.Newcomer), ridden by Nicolai Aldinger.
Performance Test Report:
Dettori is an honest, likeable and reliable stallion with a very good
disposition. He has abundant desire to move, is very willing to work and has
very good rideability. The walk is pure and has good scope and elasticity. The
trot is expressive with good scope and an active and powerful hind leg which
carries well. The stallion has attractive front leg movement when viewed from
the side but swings his right front leg. The canter is uphill and powerful with
abundant to very abundant carriage and scope. The stallion has abundant talent
for collection and can easily bring his weight to the hindquarters. He has an
attractive front end and moves with abundant to very abundant elasticity and
excellent self-carriage and balance. Dettori has abundant to very abundant
talent for dressage and gives his rider a very good feeling.
Stable Behavior:
Dettori is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet
in his stall.
