I am Codex is a moderately developed stallion with sufficient
rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is sufficiently attractive. The poll
is short with a heavy head-neck connection. The neck has sufficient shape,
moderate length and sufficient muscling. The wither is more than sufficiently
developed and has good length. The shoulder has sufficient length and placement.
The back has sufficient length and good muscling. The loins are well connected
with sufficient length and good muscling. The croup is slightly sloped and has
more than sufficient length and good muscling. There is more than sufficient to
good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front
leg is correct. The hind leg is slightly straight. The pasterns are somewhat
short but correct. The legs show more than sufficient to good development and
are of very good quality. The hooves are narrow, well developed and of good
quality. The heels are slightly high.
Lineage:
Codex One is among the most notable sons of the top sire Contendro I, who has
been an asset to the German team for years under Christian Ahlmann. The duo has
shown in prestigious competitions including the 2012 London Olympics and the
2014 WEG in Caen. I Am Codex’s dam's sire Calvaro Z was a successful show
jumper at the highest level under John Whitaker, with achievements including
showing in the Sydney Olympics and winning competitions such as the Nations Cup
in Aachen and the Grand Prix in Hickstead.
Capitola Z (s.Calvaro Z) has produced a number of good sporthorses, among them
the international show jumpers Cliff Z (s.Casall) Easy-Boy (s.Guidam) and Zita

I am Codex is an honest, reliable, and uncomplicated stallion with a good
disposition. He is very willing to work and has good to very good trainability.
The walk has sufficient scope. The trot has limited scope. The front leg in the
trot is flat. In the walk and trot, the stallion moves with limited shoulder
freedom, moderate elasticity and good body position. The canter is powerful
with good scope and balance. I am Codex jumps with very abundant push and good
body elevation, and shows talent for clearly jumping up and forward over the
obstacle. The stallion uses his body very well and shows good form over
obstacles. He completes his jump well with his hind end. I am Codex appears
careful and demonstrates abundant to very abundant scope. He shows abundant to
very abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a very good feeling.
