Kardinaal HX is a generously developed, riding type stallion with a good rectangular model. The head is appealing. The neck has good length with a correct head-neck connection. The neck is somewhat vertical, good in length and has good muscling. The shoulder is good in length and a little straight in position. The withers are well developed and more than sufficient in length.
The back is good in length and more than sufficiently muscled. The loins are more than sufficiently connected and more than sufficiently muscled. The croup is slightly sloping, of sufficient length and more than sufficiently muscled. The hamstring has good length. The foreleg is correctly adjusted when viewed from the side and slightly toed-out when viewed from the front. The hindleg is correctly set but a bit long. The pasterns are good in length and correctly positioned. The foundation is well developed and of good quality. The feet are well developed, good in shape and good in quality. The heels are well developed but slightly uneven in height.

The number four of the championship selection, Kardinaal HX, was born out of the Grand Prix jumping mare Wimette, a star, sport (jumping) mare by Karandasj, who was internationally successful under Michel Hendrix. Wimette is from the well-known Balia line and her preferent performance dam Rimette (by Burggraaf) is the dam of the international 1.50m horse Zamette (by Emilion) and the granddam of the KWPN stallion Fandango HX (by Vittorio). Rimette is a half-sister of the successful Grand Prix horses Nirmette (by G. Ramiro Z) of Markus Fuchs and Sjarmette (by Burggraaf) of Tim Gredley. Their mother Irmette (by Nimmerdor), who carries the predicates Keur, preferent, performance and sport (jumping), also produced an international 1.35m horse by Diamant de Semilly, and by Sam R a 1.30m horse. She is the grandmother of the Grand Prix horse U2 (by Calvados), also performed under Michel Hendrix. Just like his mother, the father of Kardinaal HX, Don Diablo HX (by Vittorio), is also successful in international sport under Michel Hendrix, the duo won the 1.50m Grand Prix in 2018 at the KWPN Stallion Show.

Kardinaal HX is an honest, reliable, quickly derived and slightly obscure stallion with more than sufficient to good attitude. The stallion has a lot of willingness to work and is easy to work with. The walk is more than sufficient to good in space. The trot has more than sufficient to good space. The stallion has a good posture and a good balance in movement. The canter is light-footed, active with good space and a lot of balance. Kardinaal HX jumps well with an upward body direction, with good reflexes, good use of the body and good foreleg technique whereby the jump is completed well in the hindlegs. Kardinaal HX seems careful and shows much athletic ability. Kardinaal HX has a lot of talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stable behaviour:
Honest and reliable stallion, easy in handling and calm in the stable.
Veterinary report:
The stallion was sensitive on his back at the start of the examination. The stallion has been treated with anti-inflammatory drugs and a few times physiotherapeutically. This had a good effect, making the stallion functional again.
