Cohinoor VDL is a handsome, well-developed stallion with good
rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is sufficiently attractive. The poll
has sufficient length with a slightly heavy head-neck connection. The neck has
good shape, more than sufficient to good length, and good muscling. The wither
is more than sufficiently developed and has more than sufficient length. The
shoulder has more than sufficient length and sufficient placement. The back has
good length and sufficient muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled and
connected. The croup has good placement and sufficient muscling, but is a
fraction short. There is good length from the point of the hip to the point of
the buttock. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is correct. The pasterns
have good length and are correct. The legs are well developed and of good
quality. The hooves are of good shape and quality.
Lineage:
Cohinoor VDL is by the leading sire Cornet Obolensky, whose offspring include
the Grand Prix horses Cornet d’Amour, Cornado I, Cornet’s Cristallo, Comme Il
Faut, and Cocoshynsky. The dam-line, which boasts outstanding jumper sires such
as Stakkato, Contender and Graf Grannus, originated in Hannover. Cohinoor VDL's
granddam Candy (s.Contender) is also the dam of the Westfalen-approved stallion
Cornwall (s.Cornet Obolensky). Another product of this dam-line is the 1.60m
show jumper Call Me Number One (s.Cornet Obolensky), ridden by Ireland's Richie
Moloney.

temperament. He is extremely willing to work, has good to very good
trainability, and a good mouth. The walk and trot have more than sufficient
scope. The canter is light-footed with more than sufficient to good scope and
abundant elasticity. The stallion moves with good body position and balance.
Cohinoor VDL jumps with good to very good reflexes and excellent body use. The
stallion jumps with good bascule, a very quick front leg, and completes his
jump behind more than sufficiently to good. Cohinoor VDL appears careful and
shows abundant scope. He demonstrates abundant to very abundant talent as a
jumper and gives his rider a good to very good feeling.
