goed bespierde veulens die ruim voldoende tot goed in het rechthoeksmodel staan
met regelmatig een neerwaartse romprichting. De hoofden hebben veel expressie.
De veulens hebben een aansprekende voorhand en een sterke rug en lendenen
partij. Het voorbeen is correct gesteld. Het achterbeen is een enkele keer wat
sabelbenig. De veulens stappen doorgaans correct met een goede ruimte. De draf
is functioneel, soepel met een wat duwend achterbeen. De galop is lichtvoetig
en heeft ruim voldoende souplesse.

Il Est Balou is a well-developed, handsome stallion with clear
rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is attractive. The poll has good
length with a correct head-neck connection. The neck has good length, shape,
and muscling. The wither is well-developed and has more than sufficient length.
The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has good length and
sufficient muscling. The loins are long with more than sufficient muscling and
are slightly tight. The croup is a fraction sloped and has sufficient shape and
more than sufficient muscling. There is more than sufficient length from the
point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is correct when
viewed from the side and toed-out when viewed from the front. The hind leg is
correct but long. The pasterns have good length and are correct. The legs are
well developed and of good quality. The hooves are well developed with good
shape and quality. The heels are well developed.
Lineage:
Both Balou du Rouet and his sire, the legendary Baloubet du Rouet – a
three-time World Cup winner and individual Olympic champion in Athens – are
among the top 10 jumper stallions in the 2015 WBFSH sires ranking.
The mare Quatrella performed a good IBOP, scoring 8's for almost all components
of the test. Her sire Quasimodo Z competed in international show jumping. The
Ramiro daughter Estrella produced notable offspring including the KWPN stallion
Astrello (s.Casantos), an international 1.50m show jumper; the international
show jumper Morning Star (s.Damocles); the Concorde son Rolls Royce, who
competed at the highest level under Paul Halpern (CAN); and the Grand
Prix-classified jumpers Vennoot (s.Andiamo), ridden by Joseph Davidson (GBR);
and Wall Street (s.Hors la Loi II), ridden by Camila Mazza de Benedicto (BRA).
The line has produced numerous sporthorses, among them Jashar (s.Emilion) and
Virgin Express (s.Carthago).

reflexes. Il Est Balou jumps well with the wither elevated, shows good front
leg form and bascule, and completes the jump well behind with a long hind leg.
He is very careful and has abundant to very abundant scope. Il Est Balou
demonstrates abundant to very abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a
good feeling.
