conformation and a downhill body direction. The head is sufficiently attractive
but slightly long. The poll has good length with a correct head-neck
connection. The neck has good length, sufficient muscling and comes out deep from
the chest. The wither is well developed and has good length. The shoulder is
straight but has good length. The back is long and has sufficient muscling. The
croup has good placement, moderate length and sufficient muscling. The line
from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The
front leg is constricted when viewed from the side, and the right front is
toed-out when viewed from the front. The hind leg is correct but long. The
pasterns have good length and are correct. The legs are sufficiently developed
and of good quality. The hooves are narrow but more than sufficiently developed
and of more than sufficient to good quality. The heels are well
developed.
Lineage:
El Salvador competed in international show jumping under Annelies Vorsselmans.
He was approved for KWPN breeding as a three-year-old, passing the performance
test very high scores, including a 9.5 for reflexes and 9's for form, scope and
talent. Invictus is from El Salvador's first year at stud and is his first approved
son. His sire Vigaro was a Grand Prix show jumper under Gerco Schröder.
The mare Lababe van Hamme is by Nabab de Rêve, who helped the Belgian team win
the bronze medal at the 2002 World Championships in Jerez de la Frontera and
produced top show jumpers including Vigo d’Arsouilles and Glock’s London
N.O.P., ridden by Gerco Schröder. Invictus’s dam-line has produced a number of
international show jumpers; as a result, he is a half-brother to the 1.45m
horse Baco (s.Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve) and the 1.35m horse Cassa Z
(s.Calvados). The mare Helena’s Fabrie is dam to Ufo van ’t Geluk (s.Vigo ‘d
Arsouilles, 1.45m) and granddam to Ulena van Hof Ter Naillen (s.Vigo ‘d
Arsouilles, 1.50m). The 1.60m Grand Prix jumper Cash del Mar Z (s.Conan Z),
ridden by Tim Hoster, is also out of the direct line.

Performance Test Report:

Invictus is an honest and reliable stallion with a good disposition. He is more
than sufficiently willing to work and has more than sufficient to good
trainability but still has difficulty with the connection. The walk has
sufficient scope and elasticity. The trot has sufficient scope and elasticity.
The canter is on the forehand but has good scope and moderate elasticity.
Invictus still has difficulty with his body position and balance in motion. The
stallion jumps with good body elevation, completes his jump well with his hind
end but shows inconsistent front leg form at times. Invictus appears careful
and shows abundant to very abundant scope. He demonstrates abundant talent as a
jumper and gives his rider a more than sufficient to good feeling.
Stable Behavior:
Invictus is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet
in his stall.
