The appealing black dressage stallion GLOCK's Zonik is a son of the champion of the KWPN stallion inspection Blue Hors Zack, who is starting to gain a lot of influence in international dressage horse breeding. GLOCK's Zonik's dam is a daughter of GLOCK's Romanov and this stallion was also active at the highest level with Hans Peter Minderhoud, for example, they won team silver for the Netherlands at the European Championships in Herning in 2013. GLOCK's Zonik's grandmother Dunja is a daughter of top sire Don Schufro and she performed at Inter I level herself. GLOCK's Zonik successfully performed in international Grand Prix dressage together with Edward Gal, the combination won their World Cup debut in London last December in the Grand Prix, after they already won the Dutch Grand Prix in Ermelo last summer.
Conformation:
Zonik is a well-developed stallion with a good rectangular model with a slightly downward body direction.
The head is sufficiently appealing with a friendly eye.
The neck is sufficient in length with a heavy head-neck connection.
The neck has more than sufficient length, very heavy muscling and is a bit deep out of the chest.
The withers are well developed and have good length.
The shoulder has very good length and a good position.
The back is sunken and has good length and good muscling.
The loins are a bit tight and well connected.
The croup has a good position, more than sufficient length and good muscling.
The hamstring has good length.
The foreleg is slightly under the body when viewed from the side and the right foreleg is slightly toed-out when viewed from the front.
The hindleg is slightly sickled.
The pasterns are a bit short and correct.
The foundation is well developed and of good quality.
The hooves are well developed, of good shape and of good quality with correctly developed heels.
The walk has good space and has a lot of flexibility.
The trot has good space, has a lot of flexibility and is shown with a good placement of the hindleg under the body and with a lot of posture.
