Heliotroop VDM vertoonde een uniforme collectie die goed in het tuigpaardtype
staan en ruim voldoende ontwikkeld zijn. De veulens staan goed in het
rechthoeksmodel en zijn hoogbenig. Het voorbeengebruik heeft ruim voldoende
ruimte en wordt met voldoende actie getoond. Het achterbeen heeft voldoende
buiging, maar zou doorgaans verder en met meer kracht onder het lichaam
gebracht moeten worden. De veulens zetten de hals er in draf goed tot zeer goed
op en komen goed terug in het front, maar zouden er in draf meer in moeten
klimmen.

Conformation:
Heliotroop VDM has good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is
attractive. The poll should be slightly more refined. The neck has sufficient
length with good muscling and carriage. The wither is well developed and long.
The shoulder is sloped and has good length. The back has good placement and
muscling. The loins have good muscling and are well connected. The croup is
sloped and has sufficient length. The front leg has good conformation. The hind
leg is slightly bent. The pastern angle is correct. The hooves are well shaped
and well developed. The legs are solid.
Lineage:
Heliotroop VDM is from Colonist's first year at stud in the Netherlands. This
stallion stood at stud for two years in the Netherlands before being exported
to the USA, where he is achieving success.
A four-year-old, Heliotroop VDM has already earned points. His dam Wunita
produced more Manno daughters, including the ster mare Cunita and the elite
IBOP mares Enita and Funita. A prolific winner, Funita boasts more than 50
points and captured the 2014 National Mare Inspection championship in the keur-
and elite mares division. One of the most renowned Reflex M daughters is the
National Mare Inspection competitor Veldroos, who scored 90 points in the IBOP.
Heliotroop VDM's dam-line – the famous Fanita-line – has produced numerous
keuring- and show horses. Heliotroop VDM's great-granddam Unita produced
offspring including the Dutch champion broodmare Aunita (s.Renovo). Unita is
also a great-granddam to Sunlight (s.Manno), a past Harness Horse of the Year
and winner of multiple singles championships. The Top Sport Mare of the Year
and multiple National Mare Inspection champion Taunita (s.Manno) is another
product of this line.
Performance Test Report:
Heliotroop VDM is an honest and reliable stallion that easily becomes
tense.
He is extremely willing to work and good to drive.
The walk is powerful but needs more scope.
Pulling the show carriage, the stallion demonstrates more than sufficient to
good neck carriage. He needs to come back more in front. The stallion uses his
body well.
Heliotroop VDM has abundant knee action and good reach in the front leg. The
hind leg shows good to very good bend and steps under the body well to very
well. The trot has abundant suspension. Heliotroop VDM is very to exceptionally
willing. He has abundant talent as a harness horse and gives his driver a very
good feeling. The stallion performed consistently in the performance
test.
Stable Behavior:
Heliotroop VDM is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and
quiet in his stall.
