The trot has a more than sufficient to good impulsion, length and balance with a lot of elasticity. The foals canter with a more than sufficient to good length, impulsion and balance.

Performance test report

Conformation:
Hampshire VDL is a well-developed stallion with more than sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation and a downhill body direction. The head is sufficiently attractive and has a nice eye. The poll has sufficient length with a correct head-neck connection. The neck has good shape, more than sufficient to good length, and good muscling. The wither is well developed and has sufficient length. The shoulder has more than sufficient length and placement. The back has sufficient length and muscling, but is slightly weak. The loins are sufficiently muscled and connected. The croup is sloped and has good length and muscling. There is good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is toed-out when viewed from the front but correct when viewed from the side. The hind leg is slightly sickle-hocked and slightly behind the mass. The pasterns have good length and are slightly weak. The legs are slightly stocked-up but of good quality. The hooves have good shape and quality, with low heels.
Lineage:
Hampshire VDL, the third place finisher in the stallion selection championship, is the first approved son of the Grand Prix stallion Arezzo VDL. Hampshire VDL is out of a predicate-rich and fertile dam-line with northern sporthorse sires including Indoctro, Nimmerdor, Notaris, Le Val Blanc xx, and the prematurely deceased Polaris, all in a row. This line has produced a number of successful sporthorses. Hampshire VDL's dam Rilexy is a National Mare Inspection horse which earned 80.5 points in her test. Her full-sister, Well Born Rilexy (sport name: Amadora), is a successful show jumper under Beezie Madden.
Performance Test Report:
Hampshire VDL is an honest, playful stallion with a good temperament. He is extremely willing to work and has good trainability, but is inconsistent in the contact. The walk has more than sufficient to good scope. The trot has more than sufficient to good scope. The canter is powerful and carried, with more than sufficient scope. The stallion moves with good carriage and balance. Hampshire VDL jumps with good to very good reflexes and more than sufficient body use. The stallion jumps with a slightly inconsistent front leg but completes his jump well with his hind end. The stallion needs to clearly jump more up and forward in the air. Hampshire VDL appears careful and shows abundant scope. He demonstrates abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stable Behavior:
Hampshire VDL is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.
