Hennessy is an attractive, well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is appealing. The poll has good length with a light head-neck connection. The neck has good length, shape, and muscling. The wither is more than sufficiently developed and has good length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has good length and muscling. The loins have good muscling and are well connected. The croup has good placement, length, and muscling. There is good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is correct. The front pasterns have good length and are slightly weak. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves have good shape but under-run heels.

Hennessy is a son of the influential dressage sire and KWPN-recognized stallion De Niro. Successful offspring of this stallion include Desperados, ridden by Kristina Sprehe; his approved sons Dancier and Danone; and Deveraux, the winner in the six-year-old division of the World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. Hennessy's dam Silhouette is by the top preferent stallion Jazz.
