Hennessy showed a uniform collection of well-developed dressage foals with an appealing forehand. The hind leg stance is regularly sickle. The walk is good in length and occasionally toed out. The trot is good in length and shows a lot of elasticity with a hind leg that steps under the body well. The canter is more than sufficient in length with good elasticity and balance.

Conformation:
Hennessy is an attractive, well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is appealing. The poll has good length with a light head-neck connection. The neck has good length, shape, and muscling. The wither is more than sufficiently developed and has good length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has good length and muscling. The loins have good muscling and are well connected. The croup has good placement, length, and muscling. There is good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is correct. The front pasterns have good length and are slightly weak. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves have good shape but under-run heels.
Lineage:
Hennessy is a son of the influential dressage sire and KWPN-recognized stallion De Niro. Successful offspring of this stallion include Desperados, ridden by Kristina Sprehe; his approved sons Dancier and Danone; and Deveraux, the winner in the six-year-old division of the World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. Hennessy's dam Silhouette is by the top preferent stallion Jazz. Hennessy's granddam Horette is a keur preferent mare by Ulft, a sire which regularly appears in the dam-line of remarkable dressage horses. Hennessy's great-granddam is also a keur preferent mare. Named Odette, she is by the Amor son Ivanhoe. The dam-line continues with the ster preferent mare Fasijgje, a daughter of the English Thoroughbred Xebec xx. Other notable horses out of mares from this dam-line include the KWPN stallion Graveur (s.Cobbler’s Thread xx).
Performance Test Report:
Hennessy is an honest, reliable, and playful stallion with a good temperament. He is very willing to work and has more than sufficient to good trainability. The walk is pure and has good scope. The trot is light-footed with good scope, and the hind leg steps powerfully under the body. The canter is uphill and powerful with excellent carriage and abundant scope. Hennessy moves with good leg form and excellent to very excellent elasticity, self-carriage and balance. He has abundant to very abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stable Behavior:
Hennessy is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

Problems in the left front foot were resolved with protective shoeing.
