Heathrow is a well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The head is slightly long but sufficiently attractive. The poll has good length with a light head-neck connection. The neck has vertical placement with good length and muscling. The wither is well-developed and has more than sufficient length. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back has good length and sufficient muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled and moderately connected. The croup has good placement, more than sufficient length, and sufficient muscling. There is sufficient length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is constricted. The hind leg is correct but long. The pasterns have good length and are correct. The legs are of good quality but slightly fine-boned. The hooves are of good shape and quality.

Heathrow is by Der Senaat III, a descendent of the widely branched dam-line of horses including the KWPN stallions Van Gogh, Viento Uno W and the dressage stallions Charmeur, Zhivago, Grenoble, and Zuidenwind. With the Grand Prix stallions Dollar de la Pierre (a.k.a. Tlalloc la Silla) and Libero H gracing the first generations of Heathrow's pedigree, he is especially interesting for KWPN breeding. The dam-line traces back to its Holstein origins through Auhr, an influential Capitol I daughter. Bred to Animo, Auhr also produced the Grand Prix horse Puhr, ridden by Jur Vrieling.
