Lineage:
Freeman VDL, the jumper champion of the 2013 stallion selection, has excellent bloodlines. His sire Emmerton, who competed in Grand Prix show jumping under Jur Vrieling, is an Emilion son out of the renowned Sina-line. Freeman VDL's dam Be Helena, a keur mare by Chin Chin, excelled in her mare test. Her dam Helena (s.Ahorn), who won the 1992 European Championship in Brussels, boasts the keur, preferent, and prestatie predicates. In addition, she produced the Grand Prix horse Southwind (s.Baloubet du Rouet), two international show jumpers by Indoctro, a 1.30m-level jumper by Jus de Pomme, and a Z2-level dressage horse by Quite Easy. Freeman VDL's great-granddam Aziemieka preferent prestatie (s.Silvano) is also a proven broodmare, as evidenced by offspring including the KWPN stallion Glennridge, international show jumpers by Nimmerdor and Acobat II, a 1.40m jumper by Emilion, a 1.35m horse by Corofino, and two 1.30m jumpers (one by Nimmerdor, the other by Ahorn). Furthermore, Aziemieka is the granddam of the KWPN stallion Bugatti VDL. The “blood” in this line comes from the three-quarters Thoroughbred mare Puissance, a Hanassi xx daughter out of Ingrid, a ster prestatie mare by Cobbler's Thread xx.
