Ekwador, age 14, is a son of the English Thoroughbred Heraldik xx out of the Holsteiner mare Enigma by Corofino I (Corrado I x Fernando I). Ekwador's granddam Erna Klein is by the influential sire Landgraf I out of Ninea, a B.Raimond daughter. The dam-line continues with Bama, a daughter of the Anblick xx son Aldato out of Ninea, a Figaro (s.First) daughter.
Ekwador was born in Poland. As an eight-year-old, he competed in his first international Grand Prix with Poland's Katarzyna Milczarek. The two were a combination through September 2013, showing in competitions including the London Olympics and the World Cup finals in 2010, 2011, and 2012. In addition, they excelled in the Grands Prix of Odense, Leipzig, Bremen, Warsaw, and Hagen.
The gray stallion Ekwador meets KWPN radiographic requirements.
Conformation Description:
Ekwador is a very well-developed stallion with more than sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation and a downhill body direction.
The head is more than sufficiently attractive.
The poll has good length with a heavy head-neck connection.
The neck has good length and shape, with heavy muscling and abundant crest.
The wither is well-developed and has more than sufficient length.
The shoulder is straight but has good length.
The back has sufficient length and good muscling but is dropped. The stallion was 14 years old at the time of evaluation.
The loin has good muscling and is well connected.
The croup has good placement, length, and muscling.
The line from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock is long.
The front leg is correct when viewed from the side, and the left front leg toes in slightly when viewed from the front.
The hind leg is straight.
The front pasterns are long and somewhat weak.
The hooves are well-developed, yet small with slightly high heels.
The legs are well developed and of good quality.
The walk is active and has very good scope and elasticity.
The trot is light-footed with good scope and carriage.
The stallion measures 1.71m / 16.3+ hands.
