Ferdinand
showed a uniform collection of well-developed, long-legged foals with good
dressage horse conformation. The foals have an attractive front end and
abundant presence. One foal has a dropped back. The front leg varies from
toed-out to toed-in conformation. In multiple foals, the hind leg is slightly
sickle-hocked. The legs are solid but slightly fine-boned. The walk has more
than sufficient to good scope. The trot is light-footed with more than
sufficient scope and elasticity. The hind leg steps well under the body but
needs to do so with more power. The foals pick up the canter easily and show
power, balance, and elasticity.

Conformation
Ferdinand is well-developed stallion with good dressage horse conformation. The head is sufficiently attractive, with a slightly heavy jaw. The poll is sufficiently long. The neck has good length and more than sufficient muscling but comes out deep from the chest. The wither is sufficiently developed and has good length. The shoulder has good length but is slightly straight. The back has good length and muscling. The loins are well-connected with good muscling. The croup has good shape and sufficient length. There is good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is long, slightly back at the knee, and the left front leg toes in. The hind leg is correct. The pasterns have good length and conformation. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves are broad with slightly with low heels.

Ferdinand is a Vivaldi son.
Sabine, Ferdinand's dam, is an elite preferent mare by Havidoff. Her offspring include a Z2-level dressage horse by Krack C. Ferdinand's granddam Kimberlie (s.Wolfgang) boasts the keur, preferent, and prestatie predicates. She produced a ZZ-advanced level horse by Negro and Z2-level horses by Jazz, Inspekteur, and Ronaldo. Ferdinand's great-granddam Fantasie is a preferent prestatie mare by G.Ramiro Z, out of the ster prestatie mare Margreet, a daughter of the Abgar xx son Hurricane. Fantasie is also the dam of the Grand Prix dressage horse Lester (s.Triton) and a Z2-level dressage horse by Tuschinski. The dam-line continues with daughters of Uron and Tako.

The walk is clear, with good to very good scope and abundant to very abundant body use. The trot is correct with good scope and self-carriage. The canter shows very abundant scope and power. Ferdinand moves with abundant elasticity and excellent self-carriage and balance. He has abundant to very abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a very good feeling.
