Vagabond de la Pomme is a very successful Grand Prix-level jumper under France's Penelope Leprovost. Last year, the combination captured the GCT in Antwerp and placed high in Basel, Chantilly and Las Vegas. The 11-year-old stallion boasts very interesting breeding, with the succession of the stallions Vigo d’Arsouilles, For Pleasure and Darco in the dam-line. The stallion comes out of Joris de Brabander's (St. Niklaas) successful Querly Chin-line. The left front navicular bone is deemed class 3. Radiographs of recognized stallions are not subject to applicable KWPN standards.
Description of Vagabond de la Pomme
Vagabond de la Pomme is a well-developed stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation and a downhill body direction.
The head is not very attractive.
The poll has sufficient length with a heavy head-neck connection.
The neck has good length, shape, and muscling.
The wither is well developed and has very good length.
The shoulder is straight and has more than sufficient length.
The back has good length and muscling.
The loins have good muscling and are well connected.
The croup has more than sufficient placement and length with good muscling.
There is very good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock.
The front leg is a fraction back at the knee and camped under when viewed from the side and correct when viewed from the front.
The hind leg is slightly sickle-hocked and behind the mass.
The pasterns are short but correct.
The legs are well developed and of good quality.
The hooves are well developed and of good quality with well-developed heels.
The walk has good scope and sufficient elasticity.
The trot is pushing, with more than sufficient scope and elasticity.
