showed a uniform collection of attractive, long-legged foals with good
development and good dressage horse conformation. The neck is long and well
shaped. The front leg is correct. Among the foals evaluated at their home
location, several were observed to have a dropped mid-section and a
sickle-hocked hind leg. These traits were evident to a lesser extent in the
foals selected by the stallion's registered party. The walk has good scope and
elasticity. The trot and canter have good scope, elasticity, and carriage. The
hind leg steps far enough under the body but should do so with more power.

Conformation
Expression is a well-developed stallion with more than sufficient dressage horse conformation but which could show more nobility. The head is attractive but slightly long. The poll has good length. The neck has good length, shape, and muscling. The shoulder is long and slightly straight. The wither is well developed and has good length. The back has good length and muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled and connected. The croup has good length and muscling but is a fraction straight. The front legs have more than sufficient length and are correct. The hind leg is long and sickle-hocked. The legs are well developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves are well developed.
Lineage
Expression's sire is Vivaldi. Melody (s.Vincent), Expression's dam, was registered in the studbook with good scores and subsequently awarded the keur, preferent, and sport-dressage predicates. In 1997, Melody was the three-year-old riding horse champion of the National Mare Show. Bred to Montecristo, she also produced a Z-level dressage horse. Expression's granddam Ganulda, a daughter of the English Thoroughbred Apollonios xx, boasts the keur and preferent predicates. Ganulda is also dam to a Z-level dressage horse by Cabochon. Sjoelka, Expression's great-granddam, is a keur mare by Le Mexico. The dam-line continues with the ster mare Juulka (s.Vicomte).

The stallion moves with an attractive front end and uses his front legs well but needs to carry more with the hind legs. The stallion moves with abundant elasticity but twists his feet. Expression has more than sufficient to abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a very good feeling.
