The legs are correct and solid, but repeatedly fine-boned. The walk has more than sufficient to good scope. The trot has more than sufficient scope and abundant elasticity. Twenty foals were evaluated at their home location and deemed to have a good canter; however, at the central offspring inspection, the Stallion Selection Committee noted that the foals selected by the stallion's registered party cantered with a high croup, which adversely affected their elasticity.

The neck has good shape, length, and muscling. The shoulder has sufficient placement and good length. The wither is well developed and has good length. The back has good length and more than sufficient muscling. The loins are long, with sufficient muscling and connection. The croup is sloped, with sufficient length and muscling. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is long and sickle-hocked. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves are well developed.

Emir R is by the Carthago son Colman out of the elite mare B.Termie R 23, a Rubert R (Mermus R x Joost) daughter who completed a very good mare test and won the Reserve Champion title in the older jumper mares division at the Central Inspection in Overijssel. Her dam T.Termie 21 is a provisional keur mare by Voltaire. Emir R's great-granddam Dwermie, a G.Ramiro Z daughter, boasts the preferent and prestatie predicates. Furthermore, Dwermie produced the KWPN stallions Mermus R and Odermus R as well as the international jumper Vanquish (s.Numero Uno) and the selected stallion Wender R (s.Contender). Emir R's dam-line continues with daughters by Joost, the English Thoroughbred Abgar xx, and Rigoletto. The KWPN stallion Tolan R is also a descendent of this dam-line.

Emir R jumps with good reflexes and leg form; in addition, he uses his back well and finishes his jumps very nicely behind. The stallion appears careful and shows very abundant scope. Emir R demonstrates abundant to very abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a good feeling.
