Offspring report

Delviro HBC showed a varied collection of foals with respect to type and development. The foals have sufficient harness horse-type and good rectangular-shaped conformation. Multiple foals have a long head and/or Roman nose. The poll has sufficient shape and length. The neck has sufficient shape and good length but should generally be carried higher. Multiple foals have an underneck, and the neck is poorly muscled. In several foals, the wither should tie into the neck more smoothly. Wither development is varied. The shoulder generally has good length and placement but, in several foals, is somewhat straight. The back is repeatedly long and, in several foals, somewhat weak but well muscled. The loins are generally tight but well muscled. The croup has sufficient shape and placement. There is sufficient to good length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is generally correct, but in several foals, it is slightly straight and should often be longer. The pastern angle is varied. The hind leg is correct but sometimes a bit long. The legs are well developed and of good quality. The hooves have normal shape and good quality. The walk varies in scope and lacks elasticity. Front leg action in the trot is limited but has sufficient scope. The hind leg shows sufficient bend but should generally step farther and more powerfully under the body. Neck use in the trot is varied but generally less than desirable; the same is true of body carriage, in which the foals should come back more in the front end. Suspension is sufficient, but the foals should show better balance. The foal inspected at its home location fits into the general impression of the report. The foal selected by its registered party fits into the general impression of the report. The foals were presented on grass. The quality of the dams was moderate and not representative.
Breeding Recommendation
Delviro HBC should be bred to mares with harness-type conformation and movement as well as a beautiful head and a long front leg. The stallion can pass on his competitive spirit and contribute to blood distribution.
