Offspring report

A uniform collection of sufficient to more than sufficiently developed foals, with sufficient to more than sufficient dressage horse conformation. The hind legs are generally sickle-hocked. The walk has more than sufficient stride length and sufficient elasticity. The trot has good stride length with good joint articulation. The canter has more than sufficient stride length and balance. The foals move with good carriage but vary in their body use. The quality of the dams was poor. The collection consisted of eight foals which were invited by the KWPN and four which were submitted by the stallion holder. Two of the foals invited by the KWPN were absent.
Diëgo is best suited for long-legged mares with "blood" and good body carriage.

Conformation
Diego is a more than sufficiently developed stallion with more than sufficient
dressage horse conformation. The head is not very attractive. The poll has
sufficient length. The neck has good shape and length with abundant muscling
along the topline. The shoulder has sufficient length and is slightly straight.
The wither has sufficient length and development. The back has good length and
muscling. The loins have good muscling and are well connected. The croup has
good placement with sufficient length and muscling. The front leg has
sufficient length, but the right front leg is slightly toed-out. The hind leg
is straight. The legs are more than sufficiently developed and of good quality.
The hooves have good shape and are well developed.
Lineage
Diego is a son of the keur stallion Negro
(s.Ferro). As a dressage horse sire, Negro continues to prove himself, boasting
offspring including the successful Grand Prix horses Taikoen and Valegro. Diego's
dam Ballerina II is a full sister of the approved stallion Don Ruto. Ballerina II
is by Don Gregory (s.Donnerhall), out of Ballerina (s.Rubinstein I), the dam of
the approved stallion Royal Doruto (s.Royal Hit). The dam-line, which traces
back to Trakehner origins, continues with daughters of Matador, Carajan, and
Hirtensang. The KWPN preferent dressage
horse sire Doruto is another product of this line.

Report

Diego is an honest and reliable stallion with a more than sufficient
temperament. He is more than sufficiently willing to work and has more than
sufficient to good trainability. The walk is clear and has good scope. The trot
has good scope but needs to carry more. The canter is powerful and has good
scope. Diego moves with abundant elasticity as well as good body position and
balance. He show abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a more than
sufficient feeling.

honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

more than sufficiently developed and has more than sufficient length. The
shoulder is straight and has sufficient length. The back has good length and
muscling. The loins are well connected with good muscling. The croup has
moderate length, with a short distance from the point of the hip to the point
of the buttock. The front leg has moderate length and is camped-under and back
at the knee. The hind leg is long. The pasterns are straight and of moderate
length. The hooves are small and have high heels. The legs are fine-boned but
of more than sufficient quality. The walk is active and has moderate scope. The
trot is active, with more than sufficient scope and a flat front leg. The
canter has moderate scope with sufficient elasticity and balance.
