Performance report

Offspring report

A uniform collection of more than sufficiently developed to well-developed foals, with more than sufficient jumper conformation and a downhill body direction. The necks have good length and, as a rule, vertical placement. The foals use their necks well in movement. The hind leg is often long and/or sickle-hocked. The croup is repeatedly short, with a short distance from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The legs are remarkably clean and of good quality. The walk has sufficient stride length but needs more elasticity. The trot has more than sufficient stride length and elasticity. The canter has more sufficient stride length with a slightly tight front leg. The quality of the dams was average. The collection consisted of 13 foals which were invited by the KWPN and three which were submitted by the stallion holder. Seven of the foals invited by the KWPN were absent for various reasons.
Dakar VDL can improve conformation and scope in jumper breeding.

Lineage

Dakar VDL, a gray, is a son of the jumper sire Cardento. Dakar VDL is out
of the keur mare
Nisolde (s.Nimmerdor). She is also the dam of the approved stallion Boss, who
was the champion of the 2009 stallion selection in 's-Hertogenbosch. As a
youngster, Nisolde won the champion mare title at the Central Inspection in
Groningen. In her mare test, she earned high scores for both movement and
jumping. Nisolde also produced the international jumper Sunsolde (s.Corland).
Dakar VDL's granddam Isolde, a keur preferent prestatie mare
by the French stallion Silbersee (Silver Matal x Quastor), produced three
international show jumpers. The dam-line traces back to Holsteiner origins with
mares sequentially by Calypso II, Windsor I, Marlon xx, and Raimond.
