A uniform collection of long-legged foals with more than sufficient to good development and good dressage horse conformation, nobility, and presence. The hind leg is a little long. The legs are clean but sometimes a little fine-boned. The walk has good scope and elasticity. The trot is light-footed with good scope and joint articulation. The canter is light-footed, uphill, and has more than sufficient to good scope. The foals move with good self-carriage and use their bodies well. The quality of the dams was more than sufficient to good. The collection consisted of eight foals which were invited by the KWPN, and three which were submitted by their registered parties. Two of the foals invited by the KWPN were absent.

Chagall D&R is a well-developed stallion with good dressage horse conformation. The head is attractive. The poll has good length. The neck has more than sufficient length, shape, and muscling. The shoulder has more than sufficient length but is slightly straight. The wither is well developed and has good length. The back has good length and muscling. The loins are well connected with good muscling. The croup is sloped and has sufficient length with good muscling. The front leg has good length, but the left front leg toes out. The hind leg is sickle-hocked. The legs are more than sufficiently developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves have more than sufficient shape but somewhat low heels.
Lineage
Chagall D&R is a son of the preferent top dressage horse sire Jazz. Chagall D&R's dam Annabel, an elite preferent mare by De Niro (Donnerhall x Akzent II), excelled in the mare test. Annabel is also the dam of Bretton Woods (s.Johnson), the winner of last year's VSN trophy and the second place finisher in this year's PAVO Cup competition. Chagall D&R's granddam Alina is by Romancier (Rosenkavalier x Feuerschein I). The dam-line continues with consecutive daughters of the English Thoroughbreds Troublemaker xx and Courville xx.

Chagall D&R is an honest and reliable stallion but is easily distracted. He is more than sufficiently to very willing to work and has more than sufficient trainability. The walk is clear and has more than sufficient scope. The trot is active and has good scope. The canter has very good scope and carriage. Chagall D&R uses his legs correctly and moves with abundant elasticity and good to very good body position and balance. He has abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a more than sufficient to good feeling.

Annabel is a more than sufficiently developed mare with sufficient to more than sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation. She has more than sufficient presence, but her legs should be longer and her forehand more developed. The head is well-shaped and attractive. The head-neck connection is sufficiently light. The neck has sufficient length, more than sufficient muscling along the crest, more than sufficient vertical placement, and the neck is used well in movement. The wither is more than sufficiently developed and sufficiently long. The shoulder has sufficient length and slope. The back has good shape, and the loins are well muscled. The croup has normal placement and more than sufficient length. The front leg is correct when viewed from the side but somewhat camped-under. The hind leg is correct. The pasterns have more than sufficient length but are somewhat weak. The hooves are more than sufficiently broad, but the heels are somewhat low.
