Offspring report
With respect to type and development, Cizandro showed a very uniform collection of noble, harness-type foals with good rectangular-shaped conformation. Front leg action in the trot is sufficient with good stride length. The hind leg shows more than sufficient bend but should generally step farther and more powerfully under the body. The foals carry the neck well in the trot but, almost without exception, stay high in the croup.
Performance test report
Conformation
Cizandro is a well-developed stallion with very good harness-type conformation and a beautiful, well-carried neck. The topline is good, and the legs are correct. The stallion could have slightly longer-lined conformation.
Lineage
Cizandro is the first approved son of Waldemar (s.Patijn), the 2009 Dutch champion breeding stallion. As a result, the keur stallion Patijn now has his first approved grandson and is in the process of creating his own stallion line. Cizandro's dam Uizandra ster (s.Manno) is a full-sister to the watch-listed stallion Vulcano. These two horses are out of the keur preferent mare Izandra (s.Renovo), who won reserve champion at the 1992 National Harness Horse Day event. She is a half-sister to the stallion Handro (s.Waterman), an honor class horse who stood at stud for several years. Cizandro's granddam Zandra (s.Proloog) keur preferent prestatie was the National Mare Show champion as a three- and four-year-old. Cizandro's great-granddam Sandra keur preferent is the foundation mare of the Den Otter brothers, the 1994 Breeders of the Year. The line boasts many top selection stallions and numerous show horses, among them the stallions Kentuckyboy (s.Holland’s Golden Boy) and Ulandro (s.Manno).
Inspection Report
Cizandro is an honest and reliable stallion. He is very willing to work and very good to drive. The walk is good. In front of the show carriage, the stallion moves with good elevation in his body and carries his neck very well. Cizandro has very abundant knee action, with good to very good reach and scope of the front leg. The hind leg bends and steps under the body very well. The trot has very good suspension. Cizandro is extremely willing to work. He has very abundant talent as a harness horse and gives his driver a very good feeling.
Stable Behavior
Cizandro is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground. Initially, he was unsettled in his stall. During the test, he was observed cribbing.
Veterinary Report
On 29 April 2010, symptoms of a skin infection appeared on the right shoulder. The condition improved with medication. Cizandro does not meet radiographic requirements with respect to the right knee. As a result, he was deemed class C for osteochondrosis. The stallion selection committee exercised its right to accept a stallion with class C osteochondrosis.
Semen Inspection
Expected fertility class: sufficient.
Breeding Recommendation
Cizandro is best paired with long-lined mares with good neck conformation. He can benefit harness horse breeding with his good climb in the forehand and harness horse-type movement, including a strong hind leg.
