Offspring report

Hofrat showed a uniform collection of foals with more than sufficient to good development and good dressage horse conformation. The foals have nobility, presence, and a remarkably well-developed wither. The front leg is constricted in several foals. The walk has good scope and elasticity. The trot is light-footed with more than sufficient carriage, but the hind leg should step under the body more convincingly. The canter is light-footed with good scope and carriage. Two foals showed irregular movement in the trot. Several foals which were scored at their home location had a toed-in front leg and a tight topline. These traits were not evident in foals selected by their registered parties.
Number of registered offspring in 2013: 17 fillies and 19 colts
Number of foals scored at their home location in 2013: 22 foals
Number of foals present: 6 foals
Breeding Recommendation
Hofrat can add nobility and light-footed movement to dressage horse breeding when paired with long-lined mares with a powerful hind leg.

Lineage
The Trakehner stallion Hofrat is a son of the preferent KWPN stallion Gribaldi, who excelled in Grand Prix dressage. Gribaldi is very influential in the breeding of Trakehner, Dutch, and German dressage horses. Hofrat is out of the bay mare Habsburg II, a daughter of Guter Planet (Consul x Mahagoni). Habsburg II is also the dam of Hoftänzer, a full brother to Hofrat and a former Prix St.Georges competitor. The two full brothers were the reserve champions of their birth year at the Trakehner Verband inspection. Hofrat's granddam is Helvetia II, a daughter of the Habicht son Effekt. The dam-line continues with mares by Erzsand, Gunnar, Totilas, and Bussard.
