The trot has more than sufficient stride length, and the hind leg bends well. Front leg use is flat. The foals pick up the canter easily. The canter is powerful with more than sufficient stride length. The foals move with good self-carriage but should use their bodies more.

The breeding recommendation is based on the performance test and the offspring inspection. Bugatti VDL can add reflexes, form, and athletic ability to jumper breeding. Mares should not be built downhill. They should have suppleness and sufficiently developed legs.

Conformation
Bugatti VDL is a more than sufficiently developed riding-type stallion with good rectangular-shaped conformation and a slightly downhill body direction. The head is more than sufficiently attractive. The neck has sufficient length and more than sufficient muscling. The shoulder has good length and placement. The wither is well developed. The back has good length and sufficient muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled and connected. The croup has sufficient length but is straight. The line from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The front legs have more than sufficient length, but the left front leg is toed-in. The hind leg is correct but long. The legs are sufficiently developed and of good quality. The hooves are sufficiently developed.
Lineage
Bugatti VDL is by the gray stallion Silverstone, the son of Ludger Beerbaum’s successful grand prix jumper Champion du Lys, out of a Carthago Z daughter. Bugatti VDL's dam Uzamieka VDL is a ster mare by the preferent stallion Indoctro out of the preferent prestatie mare Aziemieka. She is also the dam of the KWPN stallion Glennridge and international jumpers including Everest, Lely, Jezetro, and Arkansas. The European champion Helena (s.Ahorn) is another Aziemieka daughter. Aziemieka is by Silvano (Le Mexico x Amor) out of Puissance, who is by the English Thoroughbred Hanassi xx out of Ingrid, a ster prestatie daughter of the English Thoroughbred Cobbler's Thread xx.
Inspection Report
Bugatti VDL is an honest, playful, and reliable stallion. He is very willing to work and has good trainability and a good mouth. The walk has sufficient to more than sufficient scope and elasticity. The trot has sufficient to more than sufficient scope and elasticity. The canter has more than sufficient scope, power, and carriage. The hind leg should step under the body more resolutely, and the stallion should use his body more. Bugatti VDL jumps with very good reflexes and good to very good form, and the stallion collects forward in the air very well. He completes his jump very well with his hind end. Bugatti VDL appears very careful and demonstrates abundant to very abundant scope. He shows abundant to very abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a very good feeling.
Stable Behavior
Bugatti VDL is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.

Dam Report
Uzamieka VDL is a well-developed, long-lined mare with slightly downhill conformation. The head is attractive. The head/neck connection is light. The neck has good length, is somewhat horizontal, and should be more muscled. The wither is well developed and long. The shoulder is somewhat straight. The back has good length with sufficient muscling. The loins are sufficiently muscled. The croup has good shape but could have more length. The front leg is a bit back at the knee and slightly toed-in. The hind leg is a bit straight. The pastern angle is normal. The hooves have normal shape. The legs are very good. The walk is active, pure, and has good scope. The trot has good scope with good use of the hind leg. The canter has more than sufficient scope with good use of the hind leg.

In 2004, Uzamieka completed the five-week mare test with the following results: walk 7.5 / trot 6 / canter 8 / suitability for dressage 6.5 (x2) / jumping: push 7.5 / form 7 / scope 7 / jumping talent 7 (x2). Total: 70 points.
