Offspring report
With respect to type and development, Bakboord HBC showed a uniform collection of harness-type foals with a somewhat classic look and good
rectangular-shaped conformation. Front leg action varies from sufficient to good. The hind leg shows bend and sufficient power but should step farther under the body. The foals carry the neck well in the trot and show good body carriage.

Conformation
Bakboord HBC is a well-developed stallion with very good harness horse type. The head is attractive. The neck has good shape and placement. The wither/shoulder area is well developed, with good length and placement. The topline is good. The croup has good length and placement. The front leg is long and correct. The hind leg is correct but slightly long. The legs are good, and the hooves are well developed.
Lineage
Bakboord HBC is by the keur stallion Larix (s.Fabricius). At age three, he was the Champion of the stallion selection; and his son Bakboord HBC captured the Champion title this year. Among the most famous show horses by Larix are Platoon, Raymond, Van Bon, Vlam, and Zwieber. Outstanding Larix daughters include Sarianne, Seronica, and Zabrina HBC. Bakboord HBC is Larix's fourth approved son after Reflex M, Roy M, and Tendens HBC. The dam-line has very classic breeding; therefore, Bakboord HBC has just 6.25% Hackney blood. Backboord HBC's granddam Guwalda is the great-granddam of the approved stallion Wodka HBC (s.Roy M). Bakboord HBC's dam-line traces back to the three-time champion broodmare Nuwalda ster preferent (s.Ziezo), whose show horse offspring include Vlo HBC (s.Reflex M), the four-year-old Dutch champion of 2006.
Performance Test Report
Bakboord HBC is an honest, reliable, and somewhat sensitive stallion. He has a sensitive mouth and often has difficulty with his balance. The stallion is very willing to work and more than sufficient to drive. The walk is moderate. In front of the show carriage, the stallion moves with good elevation in his body and carries his neck well. Bakboord HBC has abundant knee action, and his front legs have more than sufficient reach and scope. The hind legs have more than sufficient bend and step well under the body. The trot has good suspension. Bakboord HBC has abundant energy. He has more than sufficient talent as a harness horse and gives his driver a good feeling.
Stable Behavior
Bakboord HBC is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.
Veterinary Report
No remarks.
Semen Inspection
Expected fertility class: sufficient.
Breeding Recommendation
Bakboord HBC is expected to improve type and body conformation. He is best suited for mares with ample "blood" and less harness horse-type conformation.
Dam Report
Nuwalda II is a well-developed mare with sufficient harness horse type. The head is well shaped. The poll has sufficient length. The neck has sufficient length but should be carried better. The mare has a slight underneck. The wither is large. The shoulder is sufficiently long but should have more slope. The mare has a strong back. The loins are tight. The croup is rather flat and has sufficient length. The front leg has good length and is correct. The hind leg is slightly long but correct. The pastern angle is straight. The hooves are well developed. The legs should be of better quality. The walk has sufficient scope but needs to show more elasticity. The mare trots with good elevation and uses her front legs well but needs to develop more power from behind. The mare was presented in poor condition.
Height: 1.73m / 17 hands, color: chestnut
