Baanbreker HBC showed a uniform collection of harness-type foals which varied in their development and demonstrated good rectangular-shaped conformation. The stride length in the trot is good but should show more action. The hind leg exhibits power but in several cases needs to step farther under the body. The foals carry the neck very well in the trot. Body carriage varies.

Conformation
Baanbreker HBC is a well-developed stallion with good harness horse type. The head is attractive. The neck is well placed. The stallion has a slight underneck. The wither/shoulder area is well developed, with good length and positioning. The topline is good. The croup has good length but is slightly flat. The front leg is of normal length but somewhat back at the knee. The hind leg is slightly angled. The legs are of good quality, and the hooves have normal development.
Lineage
Baanbreker HBC is from Vaandrager HBC's first year at stud. In 2008, Vaandrager HBC won the stallion competition for harness horses. Baanbreker HBC's dam Trinova is a ster mare by the Fortissimo son Nando, whose offspring are known for their good front end. Trinova's dam Ninova keur produced the show horse Rivaldo (s.Handro), who boasts 19 points. Baanbreker HBC's great-granddam Annova (s.Renovo), who won the UTV Championship as a three-year-old, is the dam of the show horse Humorist (s.Donau), a second round viewing stallion with 90 points. Annova is also the great-granddam of the show horse Optimist (s.Renovo), who earned 23 points.
Inspection Report
Baanbreker HBC is an honest and reliable stallion. He is very willing to work and is good to drive. The walk is very good. In front of the show carriage, the stallion moves with more than sufficient to good elevation in his body and more than sufficient to good neck carriage. He has more than sufficient to abundant knee action and ample reach and scope of the front leg. The hind leg bends and steps under the body very well. The trot has good to very good suspension. Baanbreker HBC has abundant to very abundant desire to work. He has abundant to very abundant talent as a harness horse and gives his driver a very good feeling.
Stable Behavior
Baanbreker HBC is a happy and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall

A skin inflammation on the front legs was observed and treated. No other abnormalities were observed.

Dam Report
Trinova is a very well-developed mare with a slightly classic look but good harness horse type. The head should be slightly more regal. The poll is sufficiently long. The neck has good length and muscling. The wither is well developed but slightly short. The shoulder has good positioning and sufficient length. The back and loins are strong and well muscled. The croup is somewhat flat and should be slightly longer. The front leg is short, back at the knee, and camped-under. The hind leg is slightly angled. The pastern angle is good. The pasterns should be longer. The hooves are sufficiently developed, with slightly under-run heels. The legs are of sufficient quality. The walk has scope and activity. The trot has abundant carriage (elevation) as well as good reach, scope, and action of the front leg. The mare was presented late in her pregnancy.
