A uniform collection of sufficiently to more than sufficiently developed foals with sufficient dressage horse conformation and a downhill body direction. The neck has a vertical orientation, and several foals have an underneck. The hind leg is generally long and stands behind the mass. The walk has sufficient to more than sufficient scope. The trot has more than sufficient scope. The hind leg should step under the body more resolutely. The front leg use is flat. The canter has sufficient to more than sufficient scope and sufficient balance. The foals should move more uphill and use their bodies more.The quality of the dams was average. The collection consisted of 11 foals which were invited by the KWPN. Two of the foals were absent.
Astrix can benefit dressage horse breeding with his rideability and willingness. He is best paired with long-lined, uphill-built mares.

Conformation
Astrix is a more than sufficiently developed stallion with more than sufficient dressage horse conformation and a slightly downhill body direction. The head is more than sufficiently attractive. The poll is sufficiently long. The neck has good length and muscling but comes out deep from the chest. The wither is well developed and has good length. The shoulder is straight and has more than sufficient length. The back has more than sufficient length and good muscling. The loins are well connected, broad, and very well muscled. The croup has good length but is slightly straight. The distance from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock should be longer. The front leg has sufficient length and correct conformation. The hind leg is straight. The legs are more than sufficiently developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves are small, and the heels are slightly different in height.
Lineage
Astrix, the five-year-old world champion dressage horse of 2010, is the son of the black stallion Obelisk. He is by the Trakehner stallion Matador out of a Clavecimbel x Ulft daughter.
Astrix's dam Upshot is a ster mare by the Grand Prix dressage horse and keur stallion Olivi (Jazz x Aktion). Astrix's granddam Minou, who boasts the keur and preferent predicates, is a Fruhling (Landadel x Tin Rocco) daughter. The dam-line continues with the keur preferent mare Grene (Aram x Lucky Boy xx), who is also the dam of the National Mare Inspection champion Girl (s.Jazz). Other horses gracing this dam-line include the keur preferent prestatie mare Tesdoorn (Lucky Boy xx) and the kroon preferent mare Esdoorn (s.Alex).

Astrix is an honest and reliable stallion with a very good temperament. He is very willing to work and has very good trainability. The walk is pure and has very good scope. The trot has good scope. The canter is powerful with good scope. Astrix moves with good balance and carriage but should show more natural elevation of the shoulder. He has abundant to very abundant talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.

Astrix is an honest and reliable stallion. He is easy on the ground and quiet in his stall.
