The shoulder has good length and placement. The wither is well developed and has good length. The back has sufficient length and good muscling. The loins are well connected. The croup is sloped and has more than sufficient length with good muscling. The front legs are sufficiently long but toed-in. The hind leg is correct. The legs are well developed and of more than sufficient quality. The hooves are well developed with low heels.

Ampere's sire Rousseau finished high in the final standings of the 2002 Pavo Cup competition and then captured the silver medal at the 2003 FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. Ampere is Rousseau's third consecutive son to win the stallion selection championship in 's-Hertogenbosch. Ampere's dam Larivola is a keur daughter of the preferent sire Flemmingh.
