Cornet Obolensky, age 15, is a son of the KWPN-recognized stallion Clinton. Cornet Obolensky's dam Rabanna van Costersveld is by the preferent stallion Heartbreaker, out of Holivea van Costersveld, a Randel Z (G.Ramiro Z x H.Almé Z x Gotthard) daughter. The dam-line, which traces back to Dutch origins, continues with Gudula O, a Beaujolais (Lucky Boy xx x Lorenz) daughter out of the keur mare Udola. This Farn daughter is out of the ster preferent mare Iduca (Duc de Normandie x Odin van Wittenstein).
As a three-year-old, Cornet Obolensky was approved by the Westfalen Studbook, for which he has become a very influential breeding stallion by producing several approved sons.
Under Marco Kutscher, the stallion enjoyed a long international show career. In 2008, the duo showed in the Olympics at Beijing, and in 2011, they won the team gold medal for Germany at the European Championships. In addition, the duo was part of the winning team in the team competitions at Rotterdam, Rome, and Barcelona.
Cornet Obolensky's oldest offspring are 11 years old. The stallion is an outstanding sire: from his first two years at stud, he boasts dozens of offspring which excel at the highest level. His most notable offspring include Cornet d’Amour (ds.Damiani), ridden by Daniel Deusser; Cornado I NRW (ds.Acobat I), under Marcus Ehning; Cornado I's full-brother Cornado II, ridden by Christian Ahlmann; Cornet’s Cristallo (ds.Pilot), with Marco Kutscher; Charlie (ds.Potsdam), under Katarina Offel; Cornetta 11 (ds.Anmarsch), ridden by Max Kuhner; and Cocoshynsky (ds.Popcorn), with Emanuele Gaudiano.
