Performance test report
2005: Selected for performance test KWPN stallion show in Den Bosch.
Pedigree information until 2005
At the moment Atlantic is successful with Wout Jan van der Schans. They have accounted for various high placements in championships and World Cup competitions. The dam line of Atlantic, who was the six-year old Bundeschampionat champion, is interesting. Dam Diana is a full sister to Lord Z, who was erkend (accepted) for KWPN breeding this spring, on the basis of both his breeding and sport successes.
The dam of the stallion Val d"Isère is the keur mare Nibalia (s Nimmerdor) out of a star prestatie mare by Purioso. She comes from the Balia line, line 376. Nibalia produced 4 offspring (3 colts and 1 filly). Grandmother Fybalia produced the Z2-dressage horse Kamiro-W (s G Ramiro-Z) and the Z-jumper Pybalia (s Karandasj). Great grandmother Pubalia (s Ivanhoe) is the grandmother of the Z2-dressage horse Hubalt (s Able Albert xx) and she is the great grandmother to the Z2-dressage horse Oebalia (s Ferro).
Conformation description 2005
More than sufficiently developed, sufficient riding type stallion that stands in sufficient rectangular model. The topline is strongly muscled. The hindleg is straight. The foreleg is toed in on the left front. The base is well developed.
Performance Ermelo 2005 (14-03 t/m 24-05)
Val d"Isère is an honest, trustworthy and balanced stallion. The stallion has much willingness to work and he works well.
The walk is pure and has more than sufficient scope. The trot has moderate scope and is on the forehand. The canter has scope, has balance and had more than sufficient suppleness. Val d"Isère should bend the hindleg more in all three gaits and bring it underneath more actively. Val d"Isère has little talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling.
Val d"Isère leaves the ground with much power and a high wither. The use of the foreleg varies. Val d"Isère uses the body well during the jump. The hindquarter opens very well. Val d"Isère seems to be careful and shows much to very much scope. Val d"Isère has much talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stall behavior: An honest, reliable stallion that is easy to handle and calm in his stall.
No veterinary remarks.
Val d"Isère appears to fit mares that lack ability and/or are complicated. Mares should have length and suppleness in the body and flexible joints.
