Short summary:
A uniform collection of well-developed, riding-type foals with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The trot is uphill, with a hind leg that bends actively but should step farther under the body. The front leg needs slightly more knee action. The canter has good scope and balance. The foals move with good carriage and elasticity. The collection consisted of 20 foals randomly selected by the KWPN, three of which were absent due to illness; and four foals selected by the stallion's registered party. The absent foals were inspected at their home location. Two of the foals are consistent with the findings described in this report. The other foal is not consistent with the findings described in this report with respect to its conformation, which is not as good as that of the other foals. Due to an injury, this foal was not evaluated on movement. The foals selected by the stallion's registered party are consistent with the findings described in this report. The foals were presented on sand footing. The quality of the dams is good. Foals shown: 21 (+3) of 245 out of mares bred in 2006. The scoring protocol used is as follows: moderate: 5; sufficient: 6; more than sufficient: 7; good: 8.
