Short summary: a uniform collection of well-developed riding-type foals with good rectangular-shaped conformation. The foals show powerful movement with more than sufficient scope but should use their body more in the canter. The collection was comprised of 20 foals selected by the KWPN (2 of which were absent) and 5 foals selected by the stallion's registered party. The absent foals, which were inspected at their home location, are consistent with this report. The foals selected by the stallion's registered party are also consistent with this report. The foals were presented on sand footing. The quality of the dams was average. Presented: 23 (+2) foals out of 115 mares bred in 2006. The scoring protocol used is as follows: moderate: 5; sufficient: 6; more than sufficient: 7; good: 8.
Breeding recommendation, 2007: Carthino-Z can add size, good conformation, jumping talent, and in particular, scope when bred to mares with good rectangular-shaped conformation. This breeding recommendation is based on the performance test and the foal inspection.
