Afstammelingen 2006 (veulens)
Vitens toonde een uniforme collectie royaal ontwikkelde Gelderse veulens, die goed in het rechthoeksmodel staan en veel uitstraling hebben.
Het hoofd is sprekend. De nek is goed van lengte. De hals is goed van vorm en lengte met een goede bespiering in de bovenlijn. De schoft is voldoende van lengte. De schouder is goed van ligging, maar kort. De rug is goed van lengte en bespiering, een enkele maal gezonken. De lendenpartij is breed en goed bespierd. De croupe is goed van lengte en ligging met een voldoende lang doorlopende broekspier. Het voorbeen is goed van lengte en correct gesteld. Het achterbeen is lang. Het fundament is goed ontwikkeld en heeft kwaliteit.
De stap is voldoende van ruimte. In draf hebben de veulens een goede houding met een goed gebruik van het voorbeen. Het achterbeen wordt actief gebogen, maar zou resoluter moeten ondertreden. De galop is lichtvoetig met een goede balans. In beweging hebben de veulens van Vitens veel souplesse.

De collectie bestond uit 10 door het KWPN aangewezen en vier door de eigenaar geselecteerde veulens. De door de eigenaar geselecteerde veulens wijken in model en beweging in positieve zin af van de rapportage.
De veulens werden gepresenteerd op een grasbodem.
De kwaliteit van de moeders was goed.
Getoond: 14 veulens uit 25 in 2005 gedekte merries.
De gebruikte terminologie bij benadering in cijfers:
matig: 5; voldoende: 6; ruim voldoende: 7; goed: 8.
Paringsadvies 2006
Vitens lijkt geschikt voor beknopte kortbenige Gelderse merries die te weinig front hebben en ruimte in beweging missen. Merries moeten géén lang achterbeen hebben. De hengst kan bijdragen bij de veredeling van Gelderse merries die teveel naar het tuigtype neigen.

Conformation description 2005 (14-03 t/m 24-05)
Well developed, long lined stallion that stands in good Gelders type. The front is very appealing. The loins are tight. The hindleg is long, poorly muscled and a bit straight. The stance of the foreleg is correct. The base is more than sufficiently developed.
Pedigree information
The old fashioned Gelders bred Vitens comes from Parcival"s second foal crop. Parcival is currently extremely successful in dressage, competing at ZZ-level.
The keur mare Nadien jumps at M level and is a full sister of PAVO Cup winner Mariena who has made her debut at light tour level. Grandmother Variante carries the keur, preferent and prestatie predicates. This daughter of Natuur (s Gloriant) also produced the M level jumper - and Z2-level dressage horse - Guido (s Satelliet) and the ZZ+16 singles competition Fabian (s Satelliet), the Light Tour-dressage horse Mariena (s Zep) and the M-jumper Nadien (s Zep). Further back in the dam line we come to the stallion Folio (s Wachtmeester) by way of the mare Riante.
Performance
Vitens is an honest, dependable stallion that loves to work. The stallion has much willingness to work and he works well.
The walk is pure, has more than sufficient scope with much suppleness. The trot has good scope with perceptively good use of the foreleg. The hindleg must come underneath more powerfully. The canter is active, carried and has balance and suppleness. As a Gelderlander Vitens has more than sufficient to much talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling.
Vitens jumps with a sufficient to more than sufficient take-off. The foreleg folds well. The stallion bascules sufficiently. The hindquarter opens sufficiently. Vitens appears to be careful and shows more than sufficient scope. Vitens has sufficient to more than sufficient talent for jumping and gives his rider a sufficient feeling.
Vitens shows much willingness for the harnessed work. He has a balanced and dependable attitude and much enthusiasm. The walk is pure and scopey but should have more power. The trot has good scope and good self-carriage. He has good scope in the canter. The hindleg should come underneath the body further and more actively in all three gaits. Vitens has more than sufficient self-carriage and sufficient maneuverability. The overall picture as a harnessed horse is more than sufficient.
The stallion is calm in his stall and he is easy to handle.
No veterinary remarks.
Vitens appears to fit short coupled, short-legged mares that have too little front and that lack movement. Mares do have to have a correct stance of the hindleg with movement that is sufficiently carried.
