Performance test report
The chestnut stallion Tresor d’Opaline was born in 1996 in Belgium and approved by the BWP. The stallion is 1.69m/16.6 hands high. His sire Major de la Cour has an impressive track record concerning the progeny of jumping horses. Major de la Cour is a Selle Francais- stallion by Grand Veneur x Debuché x Fra Diavolo xx. Tresor d’Opaline’s dam is equally impressive; she is Opaline des Pins, a daughter of the Anglo-Arabian stallion Garitchou x (s.Nikou x) out of a mare by H.Almé Z, followed by a daughter of the Furioso xx-son Papy de L’Ile. Opaline des Pins is also the mother of KWPN- approved stallion Jus de Pomme (s.Primo de Bruyeres), who won double Olympic gold in Atlanta in 1996 under Ulrich Kirchhoff. Another son of Opaline des Pins, Quintus (s.Pavarotti van de Helle) was also successful in Hong Kong. Under the saddle of Jean Claude Vangeenberghe, Quintus was 10th individually. Opaline des Pins also produced the international show jumpers and approved stallions Richebourg (s.Bayard d’Elle) and Shogoun II (s.Night and Day). Richebourg was also ridden in the international circuit by Jean Claude Vangeenberghe, as was Tresor d’Opaline. The combination ranked 15th individually at the 2006 Aachen World Equestrian Games. At the end of 2007, the stallion was put at the disposal of Canadian-born Samantha Lam, who later changed her Canadian passport for a Chinese passport, in order to represent China at the Hong Kong Olympics. Tresor d’Opaline meets all the radiological standards set by the KWPN.
