Sirius showed a uniform collection of sufficient to more than sufficiently developed foals. The foals stand in more than sufficient to good rectangular model.
The head is a little long but it is expressive. The poll is long and well formed. The neck has sufficient length and good muscling in the topline. The the foals use the neck well. The wither has sufficient length and is sufficiently developed. The shoulder is more than sufficient in length but a little straight. The back is a little weak. The loins are well connected. The croup has good length and shape and is well muscled. The hamstring is more than sufficient to good through the gaskin. The foreleg is generally a little straight and often has a straight pastern. The stance of the hindleg is good. The base has much quality but should be more developed.
The walk is pure and has sufficient scope and suppleness. The trot is big, has more than sufficient to much suppleness, much impulsion and self carriage and the foals are good at changes in the trot. The canter varies in scope, impulsion and suppleness. The foals do not jump easily into the canter
There were 9 picked foals and 6 that were selected by the owner. One foal was inspected on the day of the Gelders Horse and fit in with the above picture.
The mares ranged in quality. Four of the mares had a Gelders sire, the other mares came from tuig- and riding type stallions. The stallion seems able to pass on the Gelders type, especially with a Gelders mare.

Sirius is well-developed stallion that stands in good Gelders type and good rectangular model. The neck is well formed and is positioned correctly. The wither and shoulder are well formed and have good length. The croup has good length but should slope a little more. The base is well developed and has much quality. The hooves have good shape.

With Zichem, Goudsmid, Heemraad, Wachtmeester and Nelson all in a row you could say that Sirius has strong Gelderse blood lines.
Iris-H Pref produced 4 colts, of which 1 star and 1 2nd round. Her filly Merel, a full sister to Sirius, is a convincing UTV mare. Grandmother Willy-H Pref is also combined with Gelders and riding type stallions and has produced a number of praiseworthy horses such as Fascal (L+5-jumper, s Goudsmid) and Kellie-H (L1+1-dressage, s Walser). She is grandmother to Joyce (L+6-jumper, s Calypso), to MC Havanna (Z1+7-dressage, s Havanna), to Noordpool (L1+9-dressage, s Zuidpool) and to Neandra H (L2+1-dressage, s Ferro). Ramona is grandmother to Ester-H (Z2-dressage, s Theoloog) and great grandmother to Jasmein (L1+2-dressage, s Egon) and to Kayleigh (L1-dressage, s Eusebio).
Performance
Sirius is an honest, reliable stallion. He is more than willing to work and he works more than sufficiently. The walk is pure and has more than sufficient scope but is a little slow. Sirius shows more than sufficient scope in the trot. He has sufficient self carriage and sufficient suppleness. The hindleg should be brought under the body better. Sirius shows good scope in the canter. He has sufficient self carriage and more than sufficient balance. Sirius has sufficient talent for dressage and gives his rider a sufficient feeling.
Sirius shows sufficient take-off in jumping. He jumps with sufficient use of the foreleg. He should bascule better. He finishes the jump sufficiently behind. He seems careful and appears to have more than sufficient scope. Sirius shows sufficient talent for jumping and gives his rider a sufficient feeling.
Sirius is very willing to work in harness. He has a balanced and reliable character and more than sufficient enthusiasm. He has a big, sufficiently powerful, pure walk. In the trot he has good scope, more than sufficient self carriage and places the hindleg sufficiently under the body. He has good scope and sufficient to more than sufficient impulsion in the canter.
