Offspring report

Offspring 2004 (foals)
Sibon-W showed moderately developed foals. The foals are moderate riding type.
The Sibon-W foals have a sufficiently expressive foal. The poll has little length. The neck has sufficient length. Often there is a ewe neck and/or poor muscling in the topline. The wither has sufficient length and moderate development. The shoulder is short and straight. The back is sometimes a little deep. The loins have sufficient length and shape. The croup is often sloping and short. The hamstring is more than sufficiently long. The foreleg is sufficient in length. The stance is often toed out. The stance of the hindleg is often long and sickle hocked. The base is fragile.
The walk is pure but short and has little suppleness. The foals move lightly in the trot but they remain flat. The canter is short with little use of the body and little bend in the joints.
In short: A more than sufficiently uniform collection of moderately developed foals that are of moderate riding type. The movement is light but limited in scope. The offspring of Sibon-W should use the body more during movement.
There were 12 picked foals shown and one that was selected by the owner. The foal selected by the owner differed positively from the others, both in model and in movement.
The quality of the mares was moderate.
Terminology used in scoring:
Moderate = five, sufficient = six, more than sufficient = seven, good = 8.

Performance test report

Conformation description 2002 (05-09 t/m 13-11)
Sibon-W is a sufficiently developed, riding type stallion in sufficient rectangular model. He should be better muscled. The neck comes from deep in the chest and is horizontal. The hindleg is sickle hocked and the cannon transition should be smoother.
Pedigree information
The number three horse from the stallion show, Sibon-W, is a son of Heartbreaker (Nimmerdor x Silvano) who, thanks to his attitude, reflexes and carefulness made a furor as an international jumper. Heartbreaker started his career as a stallion in Belgium and there are other international horses out of that same period.
The Thoroughbred Oula Owl xx was also active within the BWP. Even though he only bred for a few years he appears frequently in the dam line of jumpers. Through grandmother Alme XI (Calypso I) we reach the Holsteiner line 1811. She produced a Z-level dressage horse by Voltaire. Great grandmother Badele produced the stallion Trojaner (s Tumbled xx).
Performance
Sibon-W is an honest, reliable and sensible stallion. He is very willing to work and he works more than sufficiently. The stallion is not always constant in contact.
The walk is pure and has good scope. Sibon W has sufficient scope in the trot. He is light on his feet with good use of the hindleg and good suppleness. He has sufficient scope in the canter. He pushes off well and shows a lot of balance. He canters a little on the forehand and does sufficient changes. Sibon W has sufficient talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate to sufficient feeling.
Sibon W has a good to very good take-off in jumping. He leaves the ground quickly and jumps back well. He jumps with good technique of the foreleg, very good use of the back and he finishes the jump well behind. He seems careful and shows a lot of scope. Sibon W has much to very much talent for jumping and he gives his rider a good feeling.
Stall and handling behavior is normal.
Veterinary remarks: During the first half of the test the stallion was sensitive to tendons of both fore legs. Thanks to rest and specialized work these complaints disappeared.
