Offspring 2002 (foals)
Rousseau showed a uniform collection of sufficient to more than sufficiently developed riding type foals that stand in more than sufficient rectangular model and are refined.
The head is expressive. The poll is long and well formed. The neck has good length with varied muscling. The neck is often vertical in hand and frequently comes from deep in the chest. The neck is used well in movement. The wither has good length and is well developed. The shoulder has more than sufficient length and sufficient position. The back is sometimes slightly hollow. The back is generally well muscled. The loins are well formed, well muscled and well connected. The croup slopes and has sufficient length. The hamstring varies in length. The foreleg is correct. The hindleg is correct. The base is light and has much quality. A few times the pastern was straight.
The walk is pure, has good scope and good suppleness. The trot is light footed. The foals show good scope, much impulsion, good suppleness and good balance at the trot. The canter shows a somewhat varied picture. Generally the foals trot with sufficient to more than sufficient scope and more than sufficient impulsion. Some foals are a little stiff in the canter.
Remarks: Twelve of the foals were picked and the owner selected six. The selected foals fit in with the above picture. One of the selected foals was lame. The shape of the front feet of one foal was not even. Two foals that were inspected at home fit in with the above picture.
The quality of the mares varied.

Type 2001 (March 15 - May 23)
Rousseau is a well developed, riding-type stallion that stands in good rectangular model. The well-formed neck should be a bit longer. The wither- shoulder formation is well developed. He stands a little under in front.
Pedigree information
The imposing number 7 of the championship keuring is a super model stallion with a fantastic rump, a correct foundation and exceptional appeal. Rousseau moves with very much tact and balance. He is in a good frame at the trot and the canter and has very nice self carriage. What is unique about the stallion"s pedigree is that besides Ferro he has Roemer and through Homerus he has the quality movement from Anblick xx. Zsuzsa is Z-level dressage, as is her full sister. Roemer has produced multiple Grand Prix-dressage horses and grandmother Landy also strongly passed on dressage qualities.

Performance
Rousseau is an honest, reliable stallion. He is very willing to work and works well. The walk has good scope and is active and pure. Rousseau has sufficient scope at the trot. He has good self carriage and good tact. He has more than sufficient suppleness at the trot. The stallion has good scope, good self carriage and balance at the canter. He has more than sufficient impulsion. He closes well. Rousseau has more than sufficient to much talent and he gives his rider a more than sufficient to good feeling.
Rousseau has a sufficient take-off as a jumper. He has sufficient technique. He seems careful and shows sufficient scope. Rousseau has sufficient talent for jumping and gives his rider a moderate to sufficient feeling.
Stall and handling behavior are normal

During the first half of the test an adjustment in shoeing was made and he received medication in order to help the hock function better.
