Patijn showed a uniform collection of moderate to sufficiently developed, well muscled, tuig type foals that are just barely in rectangular model. The head is expressive. The poll is more than sufficient in length. In a few foals the throatlatch should be finer. The neck has moderate to sufficient length, has good direction but is sometimes deep from the chest. The wither has good length and development. The shoulder has very good length and good positioning. The back is well formed. The loins are well formed and well connected. The croup is sufficient to more than sufficient in length, good in slope and well muscled. The hamstring is more than sufficient in length. The foreleg is generally correct and sufficient to more than sufficient in length. In a few cases the foreleg is a little delicate. The hindleg is generally correct. The base is sufficiently developed and exudes quality. The hooves are well formed.
The walk has sufficient scope and suppleness. The trot has much scope. The use of the foreleg ranges from a little flat too much knee action. The foals trot with very much suppleness and much balance. The hindleg is generally used well. The foals do good transitions and generally show good posture.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
The quality of the mares varied.
Shown: 12 foals out of 42 breedings in 2000.
