Prestige-VDL showed older foals that were richly developed. The younger foals were barely sufficiently developed. The foals are sufficiently riding type.
The Prestige-VDL foals have a sufficiently expressive head that is sometimes a bit long. The poll is sufficient in length. The neck is sufficiently long but somewhat lacks muscling in the topline. The wither is more than sufficiently developed. The shoulder has more than sufficient position and length. The back varies in length and is sometimes a bit hollow. The loins are well connected. The croup varies in position, from straight to sloping. The length of the croup is sufficient. The hamstring is sufficiently long. The foreleg is sufficiently long. The stance is correct. The stance of the hindleg is often long and sickle-hocked. The base is more than sufficient in development and quality.
The walk is pure, has good sco9pe and is supple. The foals move with more than sufficient scope in the trot and have nice use of the foreleg. The hindleg should carry more. The Prestige-VDL foals have sufficient scope but should be more supple.
In short: A group of foals with sufficient riding type but that vary somewhat in development. The walk is good. The foals have sufficient scope in the trot and canter but should carry themselves better.
Of the foals shown, 18 were picked and five were selected by the owner. Two foals that were inspected at home fit in with the above report. The foals selected by the owner also fit in the above report.
The quality of the mares was generally good.
