The unprecedented jumping talent Plot Blue can further is international career as KWPN- approved stallion. The son of Mr. Blue was bred in 1997 by the Burgers family from Moergestel out of their ster, prestatie mare Ilotte. This is a daughter of the proven jumping progenitor Pilot (s.Pilatus) out of Santa Fee, a daughter of the Selle Français- bred, Hanoverian approved San Fernando (Arthy x Nankin x de Anglo Navarin x). The dam-line continues with the mare Wildbeere xx, a Thoroughbred mare. A lot of ‘blood’ comes from this dam-line of Plot Blue. Dam Ilotte is also mother of KWPN- approved Grand Prix stallion Oklund (s.Holland), who was awarded keur status posthumously, and of his full sister, national show jumping mare Nilotte. During the last stallion show, a grandson of Ilotte (cat.nr. 58 Casall x Seelotte s.Lancer II) was appointed for the performance test. The show jumping career of Plot Blue started under the Swiss flag. Werner Muff was his rider from 2003 until 2008, after which a rider switch took place, and owner Kathrin Somogyi took the bay stallion to Marcus Ehning. This combination has managed to achieve an incredible number of victories and rankings in 5* Grand Prix’; most recently a victory in the Grand Prix of Gothenburg. The most resounding are his victory in the 2010 World Cup in Geneva, the German team victory during the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, and the bronze team medal at the 2009 European Championships in Windsor. The 1.67m/ 16.4 hh Plot Blue has a jumping index of 152 with 40% reliability. Plot Blue meets all the radiological standards set by the KWPN.
Conformation
Plot Blue has more than sufficient jumping horse conformation, with a slightly downward sloping rump. The head is attractive with a large eye. The neck has good length and form. The withers are well-developed. The shoulder has good length and placement. The back is slightly sloped. The loins are well connected and strong. The croup has good length, but is slightly straight. The front leg is correct. The hind leg is straight. The pasterns are weak, both in the front and hind legs. The hooves are slightly broad with low heels. The legs are strong. The walk and trot have more than sufficient scope.
