Offspring report

Lupicor showed a uniform collection of foals with sufficient to more than sufficient development, more than sufficient rectangular-shaped conformation, as well as abundant nobility and presence. The head is well shaped and attractive. The poll has good shape and more than sufficient to abundant length. The neck extends a bit deep from the chest but has good shape, with sufficient to more than sufficient length and good muscling. The wither has good length but should be more developed. The shoulder has more than sufficient length but is sometimes straight. The back has good shape and muscling. The loin has good length and muscling. The croup has sufficient length as well as good shape and muscling. There is more than sufficient length from the point of the hip to the point of the buttock. The front leg is long and correct with a long pastern. The hind leg is slightly straight, and the pastern angle is often steep. The legs are generally good and of excellent quality. The walk is pure but could have more scope and elasticity. The trot has sufficient scope, and the hind leg has more than sufficient push and bend. The foals show sufficient elasticity in the trot. The front leg stays a bit flat. The foals carry their neck well and show good carriage. The canter is light-footed with sufficient scope and push. The foals do not pick up the canter easily. Offspring shown included 18 randomly selected foals and 6 foals selected by the stallion's registered party. Two foals were inspected at their home location, one of which is consistent with the findings described in this report; the other, with respect to conformation, is consistent with the findings described in this report; however, this foal stays more horizontal in motion. The foals selected by the stallion's registered party show good elasticity in the walk and trot. The quality of the dams ranged from moderate to good. Foals shown: 24 (+2) of 406 out of mares bred in 2002. Offspring, January 2007 (3-year-olds): Based on the evaluation/report on Lupicor's 3-year-old offspring, the stallion has been retained for KWPN breeding.
