Offspring 1999 (foals)
Navarone"s foals formed a sufficiently uniform collection. The development varied from adequate to good. His foals should have more length and show more blood. They are of adequate riding type.
The head is well formed. The poll has more than sufficient length. The neck has good length and muscling, although it is sometimes set on a little heavy. In general the neck is good. The wither has adequate length but is a little flat. The shoulder length is more than adequate, but it should have more slope. The adequately muscled back is repeatedly hollow. The loins are strongly muscled and are well connected. The croup should be longer; the shape of the croup varies from sloping to flat. The hamstring should be longer. On average, the foreleg is well positioned. The stance of the hindleg is a little straight. The base is royally developed. The walk is correct with good scope but should have more suppleness. The foals trot with adequate scope but should have more suppleness and should carry themselves more. The canter has scope and good push from behind, but the foals have trouble carrying themselves. The foreleg is rather flat.
The mares were of varying quality.
One foal inspected at home fit in with the rest of the picture.

Performance test report

Navarone has a good rectangular model, a nice shoulder and a well-formed croup. The base is correct.
Performance Ermelo 1998
Navarone is an honest, reliable and pragmatic stallion. He is sufficiently willing to work and works adequately. The walk is big and sufficiently powerful. Navarone shows adequate scope and suppleness in the trot, but he goes on the forehand and he could bend the hind leg more. The canter has sufficient scope and balance, but the croup is a little high.
Navarone has sufficient talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a satisfactory feeling.
He rises well in the jump, but should leave the ground a little quicker. He bascules well and finishes the jump well from behind. He seems to have sufficient to a great deal of talent. He gives his rider a more than satisfactory feeling.
Stall and handling behavior is normal.
At the beginning of the test he had muscle stiffness. Through medication and directed exercise these complaints disappeared. At the same time he had an infection on the right shoulder. This also disappeared.
