Offspring report
Offspring 2000 (foals)
Nourejev showed a very uniform collection of sufficiently riding type foals that should have longer lines. The foals are moderately to sufficiently developed and are short-legged. The head should be more expressive. The poll has sufficient length but the throatlatch should be finer. The neck has sufficient length but is heavily muscled in a number of cases, and it is deep from the chest. The neck is used well in movement. The wither is moderately developed and should be longer. The shoulder has sufficient length but should have more slope. The back is hollow but the muscling is good. The loins are sufficiently connected. The well-muscled croup has sufficient length and placement. The hamstring is sufficiently long. The foreleg is correct and so is the hindleg. The base has sufficient substance and exudes quality. The feet are narrow. The walk is pure and has sufficient scope. The suppleness should be greater. The trot has sufficient scope. The foals hold the foreleg a little under themselves. The impulsion is good but the hindleg should come underneath more. The foals should be better at doing changes. The foals jump easily into the canter. In that gait they show sufficient scope and good impulsion.
One foal that was inspected at home differed positively from the others in regards to development but fit in with the above picture in regards to conformation and movement.
No veterinary remarks.
The quality of the mares varied.
Shown: 23 (+1) foals out of 93 breedings.

Performance test report
Pedigree Information 1998
Badette, who competes at M2 dressage, had an excellent dam report. A strong dam line that has produced some excellent sport horses, one of whom is the Grand Prix dressage horse Piquet.
Performance
Honest and reliable stallion. He is more than sufficiently willing to work and works more than sufficiently. The walk is rather short, somewhat stiff and sometimes irregular. The walk improved throughout the test. He has much self-carriage in the trot and good use of the foreleg. He sometimes holds himself through the back and should bring the hindleg further underneath. He has a big, powerful and carried canter. The hindleg is brought underneath well but could bend more. He has more than sufficient to a lot of talent for dressage and gives his rider a more than sufficient feeling. He has sufficient take-off in jumping. He holds himself through the topline over the jump. He seems sufficiently careful and shows sufficient scope. He has sufficient talent for jumping and gives his rider a moderate feeling.
Stall and handling behavior is normal.
Right after arriving at the test he injured the front of the cannon bone on the right hindleg. The resulting swelling limited the use of the hindleg. The injured tissue was treated with softening salves.
