Offspring report
Offspring 1999
A uniform collection of royally developed foals. They are in good rectangular model and are of good riding type. The build is harmonious with strong connections. The head is generally expressive. The poll has sufficient length and most often has good form. The neck has good length. When stood up there is somewhat of a ewe-neck. This is not visible in movement. The neck is used well. The long wither is more than sufficiently developed. The shoulder should sometimes be longer. The placement of the shoulder is generally good. The back/loins are good in length and shape, with wide, strongly muscled loins. The croup has more than sufficient length and in general is sloping. The croup is well muscled and the hamstring is long. The walk has scope and regularity. The foals trot well from the ground with a lot of scope and good suppleness. The balance and use of the foreleg are also good. The hindleg is used sufficiently. The picture varies in the canter. In general there is more than sufficient scope and good use of the hindleg. Some foals have difficulty jumping into the canter and should carry themselves more. One foal inspected at home fit in with the rest of the picture.
The mares were of good quality.
Shown: 14 (+1) foals out of 50 breedings.

Performance test report
1997
3rd in Stallion Championship
Manhattan is a well-formed stallion with expression. The foreleg is a little tight and the hindleg is a little sickle-hocked.
Performance Ermelo 1997
Manhatten is an honest, reliable stallion. He is very willing to work and works well. The walk should be more powerful but has sufficient scope. He twists a little at the heels. He paddles a little at the trot. Otherwise the trot lacks in power and scope, it is a little flat and a bit rolling. Manhattan shows a great deal of suppleness and balance. He has a mediocre amount of talent for dressage and gives his rider a sufficient feeling.
Manhatten has good take-off and leaves the ground quickly. His foreleg technique varies. He could bascule a bit more, but he finishes the jump well from behind. Manhatten seems careful and seems to posses a great deal of capability. He has a great deal of talent as a jumper and gives his rider a good feeling.
His stall and handling behavior are normal.
