Offspring report
Offspring 1999
Uniform group of foals. The development was more than sufficient to good. The foals are on the forehand. They show breeding and are in sufficient rectangular model. The expressive head is well formed. The throat is a little heavy which makes the head/neck connection a little heavy. The poll has sufficient length. The length of the neck is more than sufficient. The neck is often a little deep and should be carried better; the muscling is sufficient. The wither has good length but should be more developed in height. The shoulder has sufficient length but should slope more. The back/loin is sufficient in placement but the mid section is only moderately muscled and the loins should be better connected. The croup is good in length, placement and muscling. The hamstring should be longer. The foreleg often toes out and is sometimes fine and tied in. Seen from the side the foreleg generally looks good. The hindleg is sometimes a bit long and straight. The base should be a little better developed. The walk has sufficient scope but should have more power and the foals should bend more in the hocks. The trot has a lot of scope and the foreleg is used well. The foals carry the neck well but should rise more in the forehand. The hindleg is brought under the body insufficiently, thereby causing a pushing type of moving. The canter is less easy for the foals. They canter with little power, suppleness and carrying power.
The quality of the mares ranged from more than sufficient to good.
Shown: 23 foals out of 92 breedings.
2000

Performance test report
Mondriaan is a big-framed stallion of the rectangular type. The neck is well shaped but could have a little more length.
Performance Ermelo 1997
Mondriaan is an honest, sensible stallion that holds a little bit of a grudge. Mondriaan is works hard and he asks a great deal from his rider. He is more than willing to work and lets himself be worked well. He has sufficient scope and power in the walk. Mondriaan also has more than sufficient push and scope in the trot. The use of the foreleg is big with a good knee bend. In the canter, Mondriaan carries himself well. The hindleg could bend more. Mondriaan has more than enough to a great deal of talent as a dressage horse. The stallion tenses quickly, but gives his rider a good feeling. Mondriaan jumps with little take-off power and does not bascule much. He does not seem very careful and seems to have a limited amount of ability. Mondriaan has limited talent as a jumper and gives his rider a fair feeling.
Stall and handling behavior are normal.
